Poll: Which tote?

Pros to #1 are it's inexpensive and totally reusable as grocery bag (not super fancy with monogram, name, etc).  Con is because it is one of the reusable bags, it's cheaper looking than #2

Pros to #2 is it's nicer looking and studier con is it's more expensive and would either have a name or monogram so would be for other uses vs. grocery bag.

if I was a bm I personally would want #2. But I do already havea similar one from being a bm I think they are a very popular option. Have any of your girls been bms before?

One of the three has been a BM a couple times already.  MOH and CA BM have not.  And that's one of my concerns - I don't want to give them something they already have or won't really use which is what worries me a little about #2, but at the same time it does look nicer than #1.

I really like #2... I know that #1 is cheaper, but it looks it and I don't really know that if I was a BM I would use it, honestly I would just go with a paper gift bag over #1. Good Luck!

i like number 2. for your three girls it would only be 12 bucks more to get the nicer one. AND, if they already have one, who cares! Everyone can use those bags for grocery shopping.

In terms of using it again, I would use #1 far more, as I don't have much use for a nicer tote in my daily life... But an upscale reusable grocery bag I would use when shopping at department stores, etc.

I also like #2. I think it will stand up to more.

I agree, I prefer #2.

I change my vote, I did #1 but really, I use one of my TK bags at the grocery store sometimes So I don't think #2 is too nice for general use but will stand up better/longer than #1. My only concern really about #2 is that it doesn't look like the handles are very long at all.

I'd go for the second one - it looks like it could hold more, and I like the fact that the sides don't collapse. The wedding day dressing area gets so crazy - there's stuff everywhere, but #2 might help a little with the chaos.

I like #1 because I'd re-use it more. But, maybe if I were a girl I'd use a #2-shaped bag ... sorry I'm not much help .

IMO a monogrammed tote that can be re-used for groceries is plenty nice looking.

I don't really use totes (I'd rather have a large purse) and I actually don't really like how #2 looks (sorry, they just look like mom-bags to me). I would use #1 way more, but maybe the reason some people don't like it is because a shopping bag is an odd gift whereas a tote is like a purse which is more like a gift...?

I actually like the totes I've seen girls get that look more like something I'd use at the beach - I swear someone just posted their's that they just embroidered themselves (they are tan with the blue bottom and handle that goes all the way down the side).  To me, that looks like it could be a grocery bag OR a purse.

#2.. Id rather get this one as a bridesmaid just cuase its sturdier looking and i would probably use it more.

Just throwing an idea out there, but have you thought about using your gocco machine to make your own bags?

I did, but my Gocco isn't the one that can do fabric like the one in that post.  Plus I only have 5 screens of which I will likely need 4 to do invites, RSVP & TY cards so having the one extra as a just in case is a good thing for me.
