Hey I saw you are in South Florida? Where abouts are you? I am as well, or at least I consider myself to be. I haven't posted on the South Florida board in a while because no one really seemed to be in my area, and I'm not 100% sure I'm really considered South Florida anyway. I'm on the Treasure Coast, which is SORT OF South Florida, and the best fit as far as areas of Florida TK has available. I used to live in West Palm and moved north last spring.

    Port Saint Lucie. I used to teach right near Boynton Beach at Trinity Christian Academy. Do you go to church in the area?

    Oh, we aren't too far! We are currently looking for a Church. We are nondenominational. I'm not sure if you're familiar with Journey Church but we like it there. Unfortunately, my FI is working in retail currently and has weird hours which usually prevents us from going. Any Church suggestions would be appreciated though! Also, if you're ever in the area or if I'm up your way, we should meet for a coffee- always nice to meet a fellow Christian, SoFla bride!

    Yeah for sure! Well I went to Christ Fellowship, the Royal Palm campus, and I LOVE that church. It is very large (one of the 10 largest in the country when the 4 campuses are considered) and non denominational. I volunteered in the middle school youth ministry while I was there. That is more than likely where I'd be going if I was still in the area. I went to Trinity Church International (the school I worked at was run by them) but they are Pentecostal and its a little too charismatic for me. Do you prefer small or big churches?

    I think we typically prefer medium to large. FI's dad worked at Christ Fellowship for years (tech stuff like lighting and whatnot) and now is at a huge church (Canyon Ridge) in Las Vegas. FI grew up with big churches and I was raised Catholic (I still get uncomfortable sometimes at nondenominational churches because they're so different than what I experienced for so many years. For that reason, I prefer big churches with break out groups and the similar).

    I'm excited to meet another Christian bride in my area! All the girls on the SoFla board are fantastic but it's nice to meet someone with the same beliefs!
