The Hall at Fauntleroy

Does anybody have any experience with The Hall at Fauntleroy? I am trying to find an indoor venue for March or April of 2011 that is somewhat reasonable. ~4-5k including food. And can hold up to 200 guests.

I can tell you for the price you want, The Hall at Fauntleroy will be beyond that for rental of the hall plus food and drinks for 200 guests.  We looked at the Hall and had 75 guests and the quote we got for food, drinks, and hall rental (daytime, summer) was $8k.  Granted, the menu we had was 3 apps, pasta, chicken, veggie, salad, and 2 desserts, and that was an estimate from 2009 for a summer 2010 wedding.  If we had gone with a dry reception, the quote would have been $1k less.  They do have an open house every once in a while though where you can go and check out the two rooms and taste their food - kind of a fun outing to check it out at the very least.

We looked there, too. My FI HATED the floors, but I didn't even really notice! To me, it felt like a junior high dance being held in your school cafeteria..so boxed in. But if you Google some pics of weddings there, other couples people have made it look very nice. The staff was very polite and easy to work with. (And they have a wonderful church for the ceremony right across the street!)

If you can get them within your budget and use your imagination for decor, I'm sure it would turn out great :)

We looked at it when searching indoor/outdoor setup was nice. Tygirl is right about price; if you are serving a full meal there's no way to get 200 guests at 5K. Maybe appetizers or a dessert party (but they have caterer lock-in).
