    1.  Your Name & your Other Half's Name!
    Meaghan and Jarred

    2.  Your Wedding Date
8-14-2010 -- less than a month to go!

    3.   Your Wedding Colors
pale yellow and a clover green

    4.  Your Age - His Age
    22 and 24

    5.  Honeymooning where?
    Hilton Head Island, SC

    6.  Does your wedding have a theme?
Yes, but on accident, kind of.  I found a box set of vintage bird stamps to use for the invitations and it stemmed from there.  Now a lot of our stuff has birds on it!

    7.  How did he propose?
He proposed on my birthday, which is a few days before Christmas.  We, with my family, went out to dinner at a restaurant in the downtown district.  After dinner, my mother wanted to take pictures in front of the enormous fountain in the middle of downtown.  She took a photo of FI and me and then FI asked for one more photo.  Dropped to his knee and proposed.  Very simple, which is us!

    8.  What do you think has been your biggest courting challenge as a Christian couple and how have you all overcome it?
This doesn't really have anything to do with courting, but FI and I definitely struggle with our religious beliefs.  FI's father passed away extremely suddenly from a massive heart attack in September 2007.  He was 45.  FI still struggles with the reasoning why God decided to take his father so early.  It gets especially hard around big events like graduation and now, the wedding.  It's hard knowing his father won't be there to see him get married or to give away FI's sister at her wedding someday.

    9.  Any advice for other couples?
If you have a problem, just talk it out, and immediately.  If FI ever does anything that really ticks me off, I let him know.  We nip problems in the bud.  Also, it's good to always have 'date nights', no matter how long you've been together.  Putting on a CD in the living room and dancing to it is one of the best date nights FI and I have.

    10.  What's your fave wedding movie?
My Big Fat Greek Wedding.  Cracks me up every time!

    11.  Fave wedding TV show?
Say Yes to the Dress!  Even though I could never imagine spending what some of these girls do, all the gowns are beautiful!

    12.  How long between the proposal and the wedding?
    About 7.5 months

I love the dancing in the living room thing!  It's funny cause we have date nights but we just realized (47 days before the wedding) that we have probably danced only 4 times - lol!

Did your Mom know what he was planning when she took the picture? Seems like the perfect setting!

It doesn't reall matter what music we put in -- slow dancing, 80s... sometimes it's just fun to dance!

I believe the only people who knew he was going to propose was FI and my father.  FI kept the ring at my parents' house so I wouldn't find it.  Thank goodness Mom is a scrapbooker/cardmaker, so she always has her camera with her!  She says that she had no idea what was happening, but just kept taking pictures.  She cracks me up!

It was fun to read about the two of you.  I'm sorry to hear about your FI's dad.  Death is such a mystery - especially when it is someone who is young.  I hope that someday when we get to Heaven, it will all make sense.

    Thank you iamjoesgurl!

FI struggled for a while with his belief that God even existed.  He didn't believe God could be so cruel to take his father away from his mother like that.  But I know it was his anger speaking.

His father was truly a blessing in our lives and I miss him very much.

FI can freely speak about his father now.  It took a long time, but as I tell him, his father WILL be at the wedding.  I don't think he'd miss it for anything!

It makes me smile when I look at pictures of FI's father.  FI is the spitting image.
