Aww, thank you ladies!  I am very stressed out to say the least.

We have some tickets to fly out 3/3-3/5.  Just a quick visit.  My dad is still able bodied for the time being.  Believe it or not, he still heats the entire 2500 sq.ft. house with a wood burning stove all by himself.  I hate to see him bend over and pick up wood, but he hates to pay the gas bill!  He can drive himself to town to run an errand but then he's whooped the rest of the day.  So, nothing seems urgent right now, but I know he's in a lot of pain. 

My mom contracted a very nasty AH3 virus (flu) from my sister who just had her baby (the other sister is due next month!).  The Center for Disease Control had to come in (to the hospital where she gave birth)!  My mom is trying to stay far away from my dad because if he got this flu it would kill him.  I think it's dangerous that she is home but what are you going to do?

As for the wedding... well, it's on my mind everyday.  There are so many pros for having a private wedding on our own schedule and just cancelling the Jackson Hole wedding.  However, I'm constantly researching alternative options (currently I'm on a Canadian Rockies kick, check out Cathedral Mountain Lodge).  I feel I couldn't cancel the wedding without knowing what are the other options and what do they cost.  Will I regret not having guests this time around?  So many what ifs.  We are going to try to come to an initial decision on 3/12.

I'm always distracted and can hardly focus.  I'm trying to work full time and get my thesis written at night.  I feel like I could be a good candidate for some Ritalin!

I will post and update when we know what we are doing.

Ginadog, stay strong.  You are an amazing person.  Your dad, mom, and entire family are in my thoughts.  Enjoy your time with him next week.  Dad's are the best!

Thank you for the update! I'm glad you seem to be holding up pretty well. But please let me know if there's anything we can do to help you. It must be very stressful thinking about everything.

I hope your mom & sisters are going to feel better soon.

I've seen quite a few people who wouldn't be happy unless they are actually doing something, even hard labor. Your dad sounds like a strong, stubborn guy! As long as it is what he wants, I suppose there's not much you can do about this? FI's grandfather is like that- we tell him that he shouldn't be doing anything, but he is not happy unless he does some hard labor every single day.

It's okay to take a break from the wedding planning or even from everything else. Enjoy your trip next week, hope it goes well.
