This could get long but I'll try to keep it short!
A good guy friend from high school and his girlfriend decided to have a baby in our senior year of high school (don't ask why.. they're crazy). They've been living together, making things work, and happy ever since.
In the past couple of months things have gotten terribly rough for them. She works days and he works nights so they don't see each other. She isn't happy with him and started to have an affair with a married man with kids from work.
Things escalated and over the weekend while he was at work, she moved all of her stuff and the baby out. She is now staying with her "lover" and his wife who knows nothing of their affair.
She has filed a restraining order against my friend for repeated domestic violence (completely untrue). He has a court date of December 13th.
He is devestated about missing his son and about his relationship with her. He wants nothing to do with her but really wants his son back. They're going to fight for custody which I'm sure she'll get because she makes a higher income and probably will get the gender nod.
I'm so sad for him and her. I wasn't friends with her in high school but he and I were very close. He has the potential of being self-destructive and I'm scared for him.
To make matters worse, she works with FI and FI doesn't want me to get involved at all for fear of his position (she's lower than him but she sure does gossip at work!).
This got long. Sorry! Any prayers would be greatly appreciated. Any advice for me handling him would be appreciated as well.
