Feeling overwhelmed...

I'm new here, but have been reading some posts recently and appreciate how you ladies are all there for each other.

I could use some prayers - I'm in grad school and my boss is really hoping I will be able to defend by Spring 2012 (the date things are due is  May 11).  I'm getting married April 14 (my sister/MOH lives in Thailand and this is during their break from school).  It all just kind of hit me this morning after talking with my boss how crunched I am for time and I'm feeling overwhelmed.  My FI is a wonderful help with wedding planning and encouraging me in my school work, and I know it will all work out, I could just use some prayers.

Welcome to the best board out there!!  I'm Beth, DH is Clint.  That's cool that your wedding date is April 14 because my birthday is April 15!!  :P  Trust in Him, and He will provide.    But prayers for peace and productive time are coming your way!!

You are so right everyone here is there for everyone else.  I find myself visiting this board more than any others because of this.   I'm sure that they all do the same thing I do that when I say I am going to pray for someone I stop what I'm doing and i say a prayer for that person's situation. 

That's great that your FI is helping with all the planning and encouraging you in your school work.  And your right everything will work out.  God does not give us anything we cannot handle.  He's there helping you through this.  I will pray that the overwhelmingness (I know that's not a word but it was the best thing I could think of) goes away and that everything works out according to his plan.

Many prayers!  i've been there with the school/wedding thing and while it's hard at the time, I look back and almost miss it...Hey, I said almost!  Also, welcome to the board :-)

I'll be praying! I'm in school as well (undergrad, though) and will be graduating 2 weeks before my wedding-- I feel you on being time crunched!

It's great your FI helps out, that's a blessing! Just plan plan plan and stick to schedules. Everything will work out and go smoothly!

I second what Beth said, welcome to the best board on TK I hope you'll feel welcome and that you can post here more often.

I will be praying for you about about all of that. When I feel overwhelmed, I get out of the lab and go for a walk. Even when I feel like there's sooo much to do, I have more energy and I'm refreshed and ready to go for a few more hours once I get back. I also like making lists and then tearing them up :P I consider that my way of handing my list over to God. He knows what's important. Praying for you!

Thanks for the encouragement and prayers!  I really appreciate them.  It's amazing how when things get to be a little too much God brings encouragement into my life - today through all of you and by being able to eat lunch outside with a friend and get away from the lab for a bit.  God is good!

I'm working on my PhD in biochemistry - I've been working on it for 4 years, I have another year or so to go.

I assumed lab when you were talking, but I'm glad I assumed right. I'm an Agriculture Biotechnology major, probably continuing into a Plant Pathology graduate program (PhD, I hope) after this next year. So I feel you on the lab work
