The Little Things

So, last night, I came home from work and just was not feeling good at all. 

When H got home and saw me curled up on the couch, he came over, kissed me on the forehead and asked if there was anything he could do. So he made me grilled cheese, brought me a cup of tea, and would not let me get up to do anything until I was feeling better (I have trouble not feeling productive, so not getting up was actually a big thing haha)

So I thought I would start a little post here-- what little things that your FI/H does do you just love and appreciate?

For me, it's:

- the little things he does to make me feel taken care of when i'm sick: making me something to eat, bringing me the tissues, making me some tea.

- how he agreed to go see a theater production of Peter Pan with me next week

- the way he tells me i'm beautiful even when i'm feeling gross and wearing my sweats.

There are so many more, but I just want to hear all of yours now

For me, it is when he does things with my family even when I know he'd prefer to do something else.  I know he does it for me and I love him for it.

I think I'm gonna have to go with coming home from work to find all the dishes washed and the trash taken out.  ;-)

During a Phillies playoff when we were in college, my fi's cable service wasn't showing the game, but ours was (we weren't living together). I told him he could come over to my place while my roommate and I were in class to watch. He discovered that I had alphabet pretzels in my pantry, and when I got back from class he had "i love you" written out in pretzels on my desk.

I glued them to paper and framed them. He doesn't get it, but it's one of the sweetest things to me

My FI is such a love, here are just some things from this past week:
-Coming home from work to find the laundry and dishes done yesterday
-Spending an hour cleaning the bathtub and shower last night and lighting about 50 candles so that I could take a bath and read my book since I've been super stressed lately
-Making breakfast, lunch and dinner for me, because he knows I'm trying to watch what I eat, -Spending an hour at the shoe store last Saturday night so I could have the salesperson hunt down the shoes I want for the wedding from other US stores since they didn't carry them in their store or online
-Adding some iheartradio app to the Xbox live (that I'm terrible at working) so that I can always have Christmas music playing in the apartment

I agree on the taking care of me when sick - FI saw me through my cancer treatments, and never left my side! One night I was even sleeping in the bathroom because I was so sick from the treatment, he brought in a blanket and pillows and spent the night in there with me.

I love it when H makes dinner, either on his own or if he beats me home he calls me on the road to get directions what to do... he is perfectly capable but nervous, and I can tell he's so proud of himself when he's done it.

It also makes me really happy when he sees me flying around the house getting ready or cleaning and he asks me what he can do to help - he never sits on his butt while I'm working.  We work together and relax together.

We have lots of little circular dry erase "white board" stickers at strategic places around our apartment so we can leave notes for each other because we work different shifts. I often come home to cute little notes.

For example, today I came home to a note that reads "I will help with the cleaning when I get home. I LOVE YOU."

I love how he listens to me drone on and on about silly stuff.. I have such a silly streak.

I love how he never tires of assuring me I'm loved and beautiful.... multiple times a day.

I love how he always seems happy I called, delighted to hear from me... he just loves me out in the open. It's amazing and wonderful.

I love him so!
