We are currently getting our first snow...

...which means my husband has to buy me the boots I need. ;)

What is your favorite style of boots? Any favorite brands?

When I lived in a cold climate my favorite boots were Uggs because they're soooooo comfy and are the only boots that actually kept my perpetually cold feet warm. It weirded me out at first that you're not supposed to wear them with socks, but they work better (the sheepskin inside is meant to keep you warmer and comfier with bare feet than with socks) when you wear them with your bare feet ;0)

My other favorites are casual brown riding boots that go with everything! I'd love a pair of Fryes, but can't justify spending that amount right now, so I picked up a pair at Target.

I know not everyone likes the looks of Uggs...but my trusty (fake) Uggs were SO warm for the walk to school in winters! I sprayed them with a little camp/waterproof spray and they were perfect.

I did just buy a pair of Patagonia boots -- expensive, but I really needed boots and they're really amazing.

Also, I'm absolutely completely jealous you have snow.

I own these, got them for Christmas about 4 years ago I think. They are wonderful and super comfortable.

I personally don't really like Uggs, but to each their own!

I LOVE any sort of flat boot. They add style without adding pain! FYI the Nordstrom twice yearly shoe sale and it has quite a few good deals on boots.

I grew up in a hot climate and I hate wearing shoes and boots! They make my feet feel claustrophobic. Unfortunately, I now live in a ridiculously cold climate, and though I wear flip-flops for as much of the time as possible, I will have to switch over soon. I have one pair of black leather ankle boots that I bought almost 10 years ago. They zip up the side, and I found them bearable. I may need to invest in a new pair of boots, though, like these: http://www.toms.ca/womens/vegan/red-vegan-wrap-boots-shoes

So, I live in Alabama...  Lol.  I had to buy a pair of nice dress shoes for work with which socks would look OK, and that's as far as I needed to go for "winter footwear."  ;-)

I don't own any boots...never have.  I, too, have claustrophobic feet. :)  I got some grey wool flats the other day that are super cute...that's about as winter as I get over here in Arizona

I wouldn't recommend Uggs for snow weather. They are good to keep warm but they will not keep you from getting your feet wet. I'd go for a leather or rubber based boot, with rubber or leather at least up to midheel of the boot to insure that you stay dry. Columbia has great boots.

I think these are super cute, still stylish but has the practicality of staying dry:

I just own snow boots (like to play in the snow and shovel snow in) and "sexy" boots. I don't like uggs I think they are ugly!

I don't know if these are snow boots (I think we only get sexy boots here in FL...) but I just picked these up from Nordstroms and LOVE them. They are comfy and look good!

    1. I LOVE Uggs. I usually don't care about brand names, but with Uggs, you can definitely tell the difference. I have the high ones in brown and the low ones in black and gray. I don't wear them to trudge through the snow though. I try to avoid trudging through the snow haha.

    2. My other boots include high black heeled boots, black heeled ankle boots, high brown heeled boots and high tan flat boots. I want to get some dressy gray ones too.

    3. We got our first snow this year on October 29th and I was VERY unhappy. I am NOT a fan of snow. All you hot weather people are lucky! I only like snow on Christmas Eve and Day haha. And even then, I dont like when it covers the streets.
