Can't decide on colors

I know we still have two years but I really want to make some decisions.  I am getting married in June 2014 and I can't decide between two schemes.  On chit chat the consensus was more towards this one

summer wedding flowers

However, some like this one as well and my friends and family like it too.

  • Honestly, you're going to see SO many new ideas over the next two years. We had a year and a half engagement and our actualy wedding turned out to be a whole different wedding than I originally planned. Wait until you find something you LOVE!

  • From experience, I would tell you to wait. In the 2 years that I planned my wedding, I changed my colors at least 4 times and my venue 2x, lol.

For the record, I love all of those pictures!

  • The first bouquet is pretty, and I'm surprised they made all those colors work.  But I kind of like the second just because it's simpler and likely easier to coordinate.  I would also wait just a little to make sure that the color scheme will go with your reception venue and your BM dresses.  For example, I really would have never selected a pink and blue theme on my own, but I had to go with those colors as they were the only colors that matched my reception venue.
  • You do have quite a while until you have to make real decisions about this, but I really like the first one the best. Everything just seems to fit.

  • if you cant decide on colors then dont decide on colors yet... We picked ours pretty early because of how we picked them , we wanted fall colors but i brighter color to not look too drabby and origianlly i thought orange but then my FI was wearing an old school phillies shirt and it's maroon with light blue and it really pops ... And we are huge Phillies fans ...Although my Mom was really hoping for a Penn State colored wedding but I thought navy blue wasnt happy /perky enough... haha  SO with that being said pick something almost silly or a color that means something to you ...

But you have plenty of time ... :)

  • If you can't decide, its probably because its not what you really want.
I was engaged for 13 months to the day and changed the colors so many times. The only thing that remained the same was that my favorite color is blue and that I had to have blue in my wedding.
Everything changed literally right up until 2-3 months before the wedding.
You should get on pinterest and pin things you love and like over the next year. I know you are anxious to get started, but definitely just collect ideas. Your tastes will change so much.

  • In my opinion, if it's something you really want, it will pop out at you and stick with you without much faltering. I had what most would consider a reeeally long engagement (2.5 years), but my decisions about my colors didn't change once. (Mind you, we came to our choice of colors within a week of the proposal.) Once you find something you love, nothing else will matter.

<div>I don't think this is necessarily true.  There was a lot of stuff I was torn about, but not because I didn't truly love it.  Sometimes, other people's opinions will confuse you.  Sometimes, you're not sure what else is going on with your wedding.  Sometimes, you love more than one thing.  Waiting definitely helps give you perspective, and you may find yourself coming back to the thing you originally looked at.  In any case, those bouquets are pretty similar, so I think you sort of know what you like already. </div>

I think what you said exactly.  It's not that I don't love it.  I love all of these photos.  I'm making my flowers and centerpieces out of silk flowers so really I think what it will boil down to is whether I can do it with silk flowers.  I also need to decide on colors pretty quick once we start doing things because I am doing a very DIY wedding.

  • I like #1 and #4 the best.  I strongly dislike #3.

Yes, it's okay to look at photos and pick colours now, and it's also okay to change your mind 47 times over the next 2 years. Have fun!

You are my favorite!  I'm the most indecisive person ever... hence starting early.  I'm probably going to be changing my mind while I am purchasing the flowers.  lol

  • love all the options!  i'd suggest picking a colour you love for the general decor, dresses, etc.   i think every colour is represented in all the bouquets, so you can't really go wrong!

example: if you wanted the BM's to have yellow dresses, napkins to be a shade of yellow, cake to have yellow, etc... you could do any of those bouquets because they all have yellow.

i've changed my mind so much since getting engaged about 1 yerar ago!  and there's still some stuff (flowers, cake, music, decor) that we havn't really thought about but that's just becuase we don't see it as a big deal.
