My day is going well enough! I'm swamped with end of the semester work and freaking out about getting it done..

Picking the caterer was my least favorite part.  I finally just told mom to pick one.  

I'm sick.  4th cold in 6 weeks (I really don't think it's allergies).  Stuffed up, scratchy throat, sinus pressure.  I hate it.  I really hope I'm better by Thursday.

I hope you feel better soon. I feel like I have had more sinus issues this year then usual. But we have had a lot of different weather temperatures so I know that isn't helping.

I'm doing ok. I have been in a blah, almost depressed mood the past week or so but I think it's because I am trying to get prepared for my family's first holiday with my brother deployed. If someone looks at me wrong, I feel like I could bust out crying. Saying a lot of prayers and hoping we get news soon on his homecoming date.

I also have a cold.  Several of my friends were in a play that closed on Sat so I went to the play and then the after party.  The director, a dear friend of mine, swore up and down that it was allergies but I'm calling BS since allergies are not contagious and I definitely have it now.  Grrrr.

Ya know, that could be a really cute idea....have the guests make them together with their spouse or close friend and make them into hearts.  :)  I think that would be ADORABLE!!

@ Emily - Ugh no fun!!  I had a virus, that turned into needing an antibiotic, then I needed an anti-inflamatory so I could swallow, then something else weird, then mother nature gave a helping hand - and I thought I was allllll better until today I have a little bit of a sore throat again.  :P  I think I'm going to go drink a gallon of orange juice, eat an onion, and take a handful of vitamins!!  Care to join?  :)  <strong>DramaGeek you can join too!!</strong>

The PB&J talk is making me want one   I'm really stressed about the end of the semester! I have soooo much stuff due within the next week!!! Other than that I'm excited about shopping this weekend.

@ Rebecca, haha I know exactly how you're feeling! I had my dad pick the caterer!

I'm at the point where if one more person asks me to add/change a detail of the wedding then they're going to be in charge of that thing! I'm ready for the semester to be over, FI to move in, and to finally be married!!!

I'm very excited to go home for Thanksgiving tomorrow though!

I didn't even deal with caterers. My MIL did the food, so we just decided what we wanted and it was done!

But dude, I'd totally go for PB&J. Strawberry jam with creamy PB is my fave.

We were fortunate that our venue was the caterer.  We just had to pick out what we wanted.  DH wanted hamburgers and hot dogs.  We compromised and had BBQ chicken and ribs.  But we had some hot dogs and hamburgers for the kids (and DH of course!).  Hope you find something soon!

Our venue is making it difficult. On one hand, it's awesome because we're getting a killer place at an amazing price (the benefits of a weekday wedding!) buuuut their requirements on caterers are still at that high end range. 

Oh well, could be much worse!

I have heard so many people say this is their least favourite vendor. Makes me totally appreciate the fact mine is included in the venue.

I totally agree. I am grateful that the vendor and caterer went together with the package but you could find a caterer that works out to be cheaper than finding a venue that includes their own food staff so all the best to you!

we just went with having the venue cater, they offer good deals, dont charge extra for cleanup since they are the ones cleaning up, and having eaten at the cafe that is at the site, i know thier food is good. Maybe you can look into if your venue has connections with cateres they regularly use, that way they might know whats gone over well and what prices are like without having to approach caters who are for sure a waste of time.
