Inspiration Monday!

Alright ladies, what kinds of inspirations do you have to share today?  Anything from this weekend, your own quiet time, a moment with someone you know?

I need to read them... I'm feeling discouraged.  We have 2 more weeks of class until spring break at my new teaching post.  Every day it's "2 periods at a time" and I plug onwards.  TWO more periods today, then a planning break.  I have GOT to make it.  God says to cast our cares upon him, but for some crazy reason, I keep wanting to hold on to my burdens.  I am praying that I release my burdens to Him and allow God to keep me strong through my day.

Is there something you can share that has inspired you to keep on, keeping on?

the sun is shining and we had some rain, so soon the grass will go from being patchy-green to being all-green...  I can't wait!

Michael's had their Ashland Garden and Signature collection flowers on sale for 50% off this weekend, so we have almost all the silk flowers purchased for half price!  that was wonderful.

and only 103 more days until we tie the knot and vacay in Boston!!!

I finally picked out my second reading that I can share with you all...it remind me of my Grandparent's 70th wedding anniversary.  We were at my grandmother's nursing home and when they wheeled her in, my grandfather ran to her side and said "Oh my beautiful bride."

"Blessing of the Hands" These are the hands of your best friend, young and strong and full of love for you, that are holding yours on your wedding day, as you promise to love each other today, tomorrow, and forever. These are the hands that will work alongside yours, as together you build your future. These are the hands that will passionately love you and cherish you through the years, and with the slightest touch, will comfort you like no other. These are the hands that will hold you when fear or grief fills your mind. These are the hands that will countless times wipe the tears from your eyes; tears of sorrow, and tears of joy. These are the hands that will tenderly hold your children. These are the hands that will help you to hold your family as one. These are the hands that will give you strength when you need it. And lastly, these are the hands that even when wrinkled and aged, will still be reaching for yours, still giving you the same unspoken tenderness with just a touch.

I found a song to carry me through the afternoon... "By Faith" by Keith and Kristyn Getty.

    The chorus says:
We will stand as Children of the Promise!
We will fix our eyes on Him, my soul's reward
Til the race is finished and the work is done,
We'll walk by faith and not by sight.

Dear Lord let this be true for me today..

Clint and I went to PBR on Saturday night, as well as Sunday afternoon and after a good run, or even a close call with the bull, a few riders knelt on one knee and you could visually see them thanking God for keeping them safe, or giving the glory to Him for having a good run and getting 8 seconds.  :)  It was very inspiring!!  Also at PBR, they opened with a prayer to keep the riders safe, and for our troops.  They prayed in public!!  I loved it.  :)

The high school in the district where I teach did Godspell as their musical this past weekend. We went to see it and it was awesome! It was a brand new 2011 version, so not the 70's one that most people know. I know that it is sometimes controversial, but Jesus' parables, teachings, life, etc. is fairly accurate and it was pretty cool to me that a public school did a musical about Jesus. When he died and was carried off at the end, I thought they were going to end it without a resurrection, but then at the VERY last second, he came back onstage, dressed all in white, and raised his arms and it ended. When the crowd erupted in claps and cheers, I said to FI, "they may not even realize that they are applauding Jesus. This is so cool." Now, if only I could talk about Jesus in class... Ahhh

ashnoel - wow!!! that is awesome!!!

my FMIL had me and FSIL read pslams 139-141 the other day.

139:1 says (NKJV) 'Oh LORD, you have searched me and known me.' i had to stop right there and think about that. what does it mean to be KNOWN by the Lord?? He KNOWS me..that is incredible!
Of course 139:14 says that i am fearfully and wonderfully made. Marvelous are your works that my soul knows very well! i have always loved that verse. That i was made on purpose and that i am WONDERFULLY made by the Creator who KNOWS me. (:

The verse that got me thinking alot was 139:23-24....'Search me, O God, and know my heart; try my and know my anxieties. And see if there is any wicked way in my and lead me in the way everlasting. '

So many times God "tries" us...and my anxieties show. But it is WHAT i do with those insecurities that God pays attention to. Whether it be school, work, wedding stress, or someone cutting us off in traffic.......... we have the opportunity to either cuss, get overly frustrated, angry, or any other "wicked way" OR we choose to stay in communication with God and tell him to lead us in the way everlasting.

I encourage (and challenge) all of us this next week..that when we feel like God is trying us...to take a look and remember that he KNOWS our heart and pray that God will take any "wicked way" and lead us in the way everlasting. (:
