Post Interview Questions...

Ok so I had an interview on Tuesday at a hospital. There was a CNA position and a Monitor Tech /Secretary position. I am technically trained for both, He asked if I had managment experiance with being a CNA , I said no which is true. BUT I do have experiance with management at a retail level and minor roles when I worked in assisted living . The conversation swicthed away from that question and I did not get a chance to mention those things . He handed me his card and said I could call or message him if I had any questions for him ...

Is it ok to email him and just kinda go back to that question and just state those facts ? I kinda feel it is important to know etc . I'm SO bad at interviews. I talk WAY too much any other time but when it comes to interviews I just shut off and can't think straight till I leave ...

I kinda think what could it hurt to just mention these key facts ? I really would like this job and need it fulltime. I thought if i got this job it would be my "sign" and green light to go to the nursing school near this hospital ... Where as I havnt heard from the other school yet and have not had any interviews in that area etc.

Ideas ? Thanks

I don't think it would be a bad thing to email him. You could say "I forgot to mention XYZ....."

  • Have you written your thank you email yet?  I think it would be appropriate to mention those things in the thank you email.  Just be brief about it.  You could just phrase it as, "While I do not have direct managerial experience in a hospital role, my experience as a retail manager has given X, Y, and Z skills which I can bring to this position.  I would be thrilled with the opportunity to work with you because..."
  • That's what i was kinda thinking along those lines... Thanks

  • I just had this same thing happen to me two weeks ago. I did send an e-mail and thank her for her, and then I went on to tell her somethings that I thought might be important that we didn't get to talk about. She called me back for a second interview this week. So i say YES write an e-mail.
  • I wrote the email I did not get a call or an email back yet , I'm hoping it went through maybe I will just try to call him on Monday ??
