Re: Wednesday QOTD

  • My spiritual mother. She is a true blessing an a great example of what God has called us to be. She is so deeply rooted in her faith and I love that about her. I really hope to be like her one day. She is so calm and loving. I have come to her with questions and got much needed advice about my spiritual walk. She is a blessing.

  • I look up to my FMIL. She is such a strong Christian and has helped me a lot in becoming more active in their church.

  • One of my really good friends. He can answer a lot of Bible questions I have and he's been a sounding board for me many times. I know the advice I get from him is Biblical and well thought out and prayed about.

  • My good friend who was one of my bridesmaids. We have known each other since middle school. While we were both raised in Christian homes, she was much more involved in church as a child. We both kind of went down the wrong path for a little (held to our beliefs, just our actions didn't match up). She got back on track awhile before I did and she helped me to get back on track too. She is great to talk to about anything Christian-related. She has helped me to become closer with the Lord than I ever was before.

Also my H. He went from not having gone to church since middle school to being a great spiritual leader in our home. He has grown so much and I am so proud of him.
  • I have a mentor through the business that I am in and she is TOTALLY who I look up to. I wasn't religious at all before getting into the business and after I started to explore it she really helped to encourage that curiousity.

When I started attending a new church in high school, I met a wonderful woman who took the time to get to know this awkward 15/16 year old when she was 7/8 years older. In August, she was one of my bridesmaids. She has been a wonderful support and mentor in my spiritual walk, as well as an amazing friend.
She lives in New Mexico now, but she is visiting now so I get to see her on Saturday :) hooray :)
  • One of my best friends who was the reason I turned back to Christianity and Jesus in the first place, back in high school. She is so strong in her faith and she really inspires me and supports me in that way, unlike most of my other friends.

  • The leader of the BIble Study I attend. She is amazing and inspiring and I love her so. She is such a wonderful teacher. She went to Bible college and she and her family were missionaries in Africa.  All of her six children are intensely seeking God.

A few years ago three of her sons were almost killed in a car crash during a North American mission trip. All survived. One without a scratch, one had a broken back and was told he wouldn't walk but was walking just two months later, and one was declared dead at the site but survived. He has brain injuries and can't walk or speak, but is in there and can communicate if someone takes the time point a stick at this alphabet board on the wall, so he can spell things out. She and her husband will probably be taking care of him for the rest of their lives. She is so strong in the Lord, yet so humble and wonderful. So is her whole family. They inspire me.
