Thoughts on the Paranormal?

FI and I love watching scary movies but one got me thinking the other day... Do you think ghosts and other paranormal things (aside from demons and angels) are real? If ghosts do exist, can they be benevolent or are they simply demons? Hmm, maybe I've been watching too many movies!

I absolutely do not believe that ghosts exist.  When you die, your soul either goes to Heaven or Hell.  There is NO in between.  Demons, however, do mess with you (anyone, no matter their spiritual condition will be messed with by demons, but only the unsaved can be possessed) and can transform their apperance.

I think ghosts are demons. Human souls do not linger here, but it behooves Satan and his army to confuse us because it can lure us away from Christ (since he is Truth and Satan is the prince of lies).  Also, it can spur us into fear (since God doesn't give us a spirit of fear, fear is never of God) and may even drive some to mediums (which the Bible makes clear we should stay far away from);

I agree with these ladies. I do not think there is any sort of "in between". It's either Heaven or Hell. Demons can be tricky but as long as your heart is right with God you'll be safe:)

I'll be the lone dissenter.  Living in a house with a ghost changes the way you think, for sure.  Yes, I absolutely believe in ghosts, just like I believe in demons.

I agree with PPs... I think ghosts are of a demonic sense... I never really encounterd anything like that . I did not grow up wacthing anything like that at all I was not allowed to ... Now that I'm older it generally freaks me out... But yet I will read/wacth Narnia, Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter.. [ and Harry Potter is a no no with my fiance ] But I know that's truly intended as fiction.

I agree with most of the other posts. The Bible clearly states that you will go to heaven if you believe in Jesus Christ and if not go to hell. There's no in between. Angels fulfull the will of God. So the only logical conclusion is that "ghosts" are demons. I think a lot of the paranormal things we see on tv are completely made up, but some things do happen - those things are demons.

I believe that there are things that people can see but they cannot understand, the human mind is such a finite thing, and it cannot process what it doesn't udnerstand. It tries to assume a "logical' explanation, but that leads to overthinking which leads to the belief that God is not in control....Yes, I do believe in the supernatural, but I know that God more powerful than that.
