I am one month out from my wedding!!! yay.

Is it cheating to say "all of it?"  Really, though, the reception went almost exactly as planned (pictures at the church took a little longer so we ended up staying at the reception about an hour longer than we originally thought we would).  

The worst part, though, was saying goodbye and leaving.  It was H's first time back on the east coast since moving to Kansas 5 months before, and I was moving to Kansas right after the honeymoon and wouldn't be home until my brother's wedding in October (although, at that point they weren't even engaged and we didn't think I'd be home until Christmas).

Anywho, 99% of the reception was excellent...leaving SUCKED.

I loved our incredibly awkward first dance ... H was going to do some dramatic dip at the end of the song, but the DJ cut off the song about 20 seconds early. Also, our food and cake were AWESOME.

Best part was the food (though I didn't get to enjoy all of it) and the dancing.  My family is Greek, and my husband's side is Brazilian, so people really got dancing.

Honestly, for it to be over! I just want to get back to the hotel and get ready for the honeymoon!!!

My FI is writing a song that he is going to sing to me at the reception. I he won't let me hear even a teeny party of it beforehand, so it will be a surprise! I can't wait! FI wrote a love song for me that he sang when he proposed, so he thought it would be fitting to do one for the wedding too.

We didn't have dancing. I loved getting to chat with everybody. And the food was awesome!

</div><div>FI wrote me a song once. Trouble was, we were long distance and he tried to let me hear it over the phone. After 3 times of "I still can't hear you" I finally let him just play it all the way through and figured I could hear it in person later. He promptly forgot the lyrics and I've never actually heard it. </div><div>

</div><div>I am also very excited for it to be over. I think it'll be a lot of fun and we'll have fun dancing, but I can't wait to get to our suite and be able to relax and... um... "enjoy being married" :) My parents actually suggested we leave by like 9:45 because we're going to want to "call it a night early" super awkward, but will probably be true. haha</div>

My favorite part was our "open mike" time.  Our BM and MOH gave wonderful toasts, then we opened it up for whoever.  The one that sticks out was my little brother - he talked about a time he saw H tying his kayaks to the roof of his car and brother thought about helping but he's bad at knots.  H is good at tying knots, and "he tied a really strong one that will last forever today."  It was so out of character for my brother to say something like that, which made it mean all that much more.

My favorite part of the reception was when we had finished all of the "planned" stuff and were just goofing off. DH and his guys did a skit/dance to "Lean on Me", and I got to swing dance with some good friends.
