~jkh1182~

Saw your post on the Catholic/Christian thread.  I've been a Baptist my entire life, so just let me know if you have any questions.  I know there are other girls are here who are Baptist, as well.  I was raised Conservative Southern Baptist, but the biggest differences between them and other Baptist churches are the way their missionaries are supported, and a few doctrines/practices.

I'm also a Southern Baptist girl.  I am pretty sure that Emily's church and mine are part of the same Southern Baptist Convention.  Generally speaking, while we know that Mary was a blessed woman, we do not celebrate her as a "holy" mother.  The piece "Ave Maria" is a beautiful piece, but when translated, it says "All Hail Mary" so we can't use it in weddings or have it in church.

Thanks ladies.  I will let you know that we are having some problems, because my fiance and I are living together (even though we are abstaining) and the pastor wants us to live apart.  Well, we wouldn't have a problem doing that if we were in a better financial situation.  I mean we only have one car that we are sharing right now.  And I know my fiance would be able to live with his brother, but I may have trouble moving back home with my mom because I have a cat.  I'm just frustrated.  I thought maybe we would just have the ceremony down in Florida where all my family is but I don't know.  I'm so confused.

It's understandable.  God can provide and He can show you the way He wants you to go.  Its hard to trust Him completely but the rewards are really really rich.

Whatever you decide to do each and every day, you know, and God knows if you are your FI are remaining pure, and I'll pray for you to find the wisdom you're searching for!!

Oh, and there's no judgment here.  We are ALL sinners and fall short of the glory of God, and knowing that he sent his Son to die for our transgressions is just amazing.  Jesus who knows me inside and out before I was born, and to think that he could care enough about me to die for me is very humbling.  I'm glad you're here!

    Second!

I was also raised in the Southern Baptist Church and attended for the majority of my life thus far. Since moving away from home, though, I haven't stuck with the Baptist church...but I'd be more than happy to answer any questions you have. :)

I guess I am more confused than ever.  If we moved out of the place we are in now to live seperatly I would have no place to go, so I don't think I should make myself homeless.  I don't understand why we can't continue to live together as long as we are abstaining from sex.  We are in a financial bind.  On top of me having nowhere else to go, we are down to only one car between the two of us.  His mom wants us to get married in the Catholic church.  I guess we are just going to research and make sure that whatever church we choose is going to be right for us.

</div><div>This, exactly.  We're here for you, but ultimately you and your FI will have to make the decision that is right for you.  </div><div>
</div><div>You might check to see if any people in near you have homes, basement apartments, or rooms for rent - that might be a less expensive alternative than trying to rent a traditional apartment.  Although, I see the financial problems with doing that too... It's kind of a hard situation to figure out.  I will pray that you find the answer you need! </div>
