Prayers for one of my students!

I can't reveal a lot here (obviously), but if you could take a moment to pray for one of my middle school students, she came to me today to talk.  She wanted advice on talking honestly with her parents about the possibility that she might be pregnant.  

 She'll need your prayers to have the right words to say, and the ability to make it through the conversation with her parents, and for healing in their relationship as they explore whatever is next for her.  She still hasn't gotten a pregnancy test, so I encouraged her to make that a first step after she talks with her parents.  

 

I am praying for her about every hour right now because she plans to talk with her parents this weekend.

Defnitely praying for her.  It's good that she was smart enough to get some advice and not just try to hide the problem, good for her.

I'm so glad she trusted you, Kelly. God really does have a purpose there for you at that school! You're a light. She knew she could come to you for advice. I'm praying for her in this scary time.

I said a prayer for her!  I'm also a middle school teacher, so I relate to your situation. I pray there is healing and restoration and wisdom for whatever the future holds. Blessings on all of you!

I agree with PPs that it is a blessing that she feels she can have confidence in sharing this with you. God sometimes uses a difficult situation (like struggling with the job!) to bring about his purpose. He definitely planned for you to be there at that school for that student...who knows what else he will bring you there!

The ladies are right - you have a definite ministry at this school if the students feel comfortable coming to you for advice.  I will say a prayer for her that things will work out for the best and that you will be encouraged through this situation!

I said a prayer, Kelly. Hopefully she will continue to come to you in the future so that you can give her positive advice. Rachel is right- you DO have a purpose at that school right now! The talk with you could really help her in many ways.
