Are you running?  My sister wants to run a 5k on Thanksgiving so I've started "training" for it.  Tonight I did 2 miles.  I was thinking that you mentioned you wanted to start running so I thought I'd check to see how it's going.

As I was running my foot was a little sore and then I realized that it was not the foot that I injured!  It wasn't really hurt - just a little sore and I'm not sure why (feels fine now).  But my ankle - the one I fractured felt really good again.  I had promised myself to stop if it started to hurt, but it didn't.  I'm only planning to run on Monday and Thursday for the next few weeks.  If it still feels that good, I might run on Saturday.

I am!  We had a major heat wave right about the time school started so I quit for a couple of weeks.  I'm going to start over with Couch to 5k this week but I'm in desperate need of new shoes first.

I was fitted for new shoes at a running store where they videotaped my running and watched me walk.  The shoes I ended up with are great and I've loved running in them.  I highly recommend.

Keep us posted on your training.  Do you have any goals - like a 5k that you'd like to run maybe in the spring?

Yes, I am!  I got the shoes I'm currently wearing from them, they're just totally broken down.  I'm going on Friday :-)

Lisa, I'm signed up for a 5k in December - yikes!  Thus the reason I have to get back to training.
