What Are You Planning - Summer Vacation

I am currently counting down until my summer vacation with DH - 18 days!  I can't wait.

We are going to Kingdom Bound in western NY at Darien Lake theme park.  Every summer for a week, there is a 4 day music festival and DH has been going for over 10 years.  Actually, it was the first place I ever saw Newsboys when they were unknown.

Some of the artists this year - Chris Tomlin, Casting Crowns, Petra, Jeremy Camp, Skillet, Disciple, Red, Newsboys and Rebecca St. James.  Last year TobyMac was there and I'm bummed that he won't be there this year.

So, what are you doing for a vacation this summer?

What an awesome sounding music festival!  Unfortunately we aren't going anywhere this summer except for maybe a wedding planning trip to San Diego in a month or 2.  We're saving up ($$ and time off) for the HM next year.

I don't think we get a summer vacation this year.
DH has been working his tail off (nights and Saturdays ALL month) so we can save towards our house building. But my sister is coming to stay with us for two weeks at the end of this month, so that will be fun!

I'll live vicariously through all you ladies, yeah?

I TobyMac. My best friend and I went to see him on his Winter WonderSlam tour. It was my totally and completely belated birthday present.

I have a honeymoon I'm going on if that counts? Haha. Other than that, I don't think I get a vacation. I don't really mind though.

@ brist - Of course your honeymoon counts!  That's the best kind of vacation!!!

@ azdancer - That will be fun.  Is it the sister that is getting married?  How is her planning going?

My other sister, actually. It's her last hurrah before she goes off to college, and it will be great to see her. I don't think my engaged sister has really started planning anything yet, although supposedly she has her BM colors picked out. She's finishing up nursing school first - it's an intense program, so she's quite busy. :)

I have one month off between work and starting law school.  I'll be getting settled in in Boston, playing housewife while DH does his summer internship.  I'm actually looking forward to resting and doing fun stuff, like baking with all my registry gifts.  We may go for a weekend trip, which will be awesome because DH and I never travelled alone together before (except for our honeymoon).  We're thinking of going to either NYC or Maine.

FI and I are going to Vegas for 8 days! We're so excited! We're going to visit his parents but we are spending a night or two at the Rio! 

We've been to Vegas before but we've done mostly the "nature-y" stuff, like rock climbing, etc. I can't wait to go into all the hotels this time!!

I LOVE skillet!! FI and I went to see them the night before we got engaged which made that weekend double great!!

Our vacation is our honeymoon, and I'm realyl excited about that!!

We are going on a cruise next month with good friends of ours from back home in CT on the Exotic Western Caribbean itinerary.

We're also planning on doing the Bahamas Day Cruise out of Ft. Lauderdale to test out how I'll feel on a cruiseship since suffering from Labyrinthititis last fall/early winter.

Other than that, just looking forward to one of my good friends from college coming to visit in 2 weeks, and DH's best friend (the one he "rapped" with in the youtube video I've posted from our reception) is surprising him and flying in the week before our cruise in August. DH has been upset that he hasn't made an effort to come visit yet and is always on him about coming down. So this is going to be a great surprise. I'm going to pick him up at the airport and DH thinks he's taking a half day so we can drive over to Tampa and visit some of the wineries I've wanted to go to for my birthday. Little does he know he's in for a big surprise.

You'll LOVE Vegas! So much to do! We've never even really gambled when we go there (we've been twice) because Vegas is really so much more than casinos. We enjoy laying out at their amazing pools by day and then site seeing at night and checking out different places for dinner. We also loved riding the rollercoaster at New York New York, going up the Eiffel Tower at Paris, riding the gondolas at the Venetian, the aquarium at Mandalay, and we got to see the Titanic exhibit while it was at The Luxor but I think it's moved since then. Also try to check out one of their amazing shows! I highly recommend Blue Man Group or a Cirque du Soleil show.

It will be DH's 39th Skillet concert and my 12th (I think).  He likes them a lot too.  I used to just go with him so that we could spend time together, but I really like Skillet a lot myself now too.

The cruise is to Cozumel, Belize, Honduras, and Costa Maya. Cozumel is a repeat for me, but everything else will be new. DH and I love cruising, I always end up looking into cruises before looking into resorts now. We love the whole "floating resort" aspect and seeing several new islands all in one trip.

Our vacation was our HM. Plus whenever we go down to FL to visit family. I'm itching to go back to the vera bradley outlet.

our vacation will be our honeymoon. we both got a week off!!! (: i am sooo excited! and he just text me and said that we will be going on a hot air baloon! i have ALWAYS wanted to do that! i am sooo excited!

My "summer" vacation is on pause until October- then its the honeymoon cruise!

We're going to the beach (a couple of hours away) this weekend. 

A week from tomorrow I'm flying to KY and driving 4 hours with my MOH to a bachelorette party weekend in Indiana.  When the weekend is over, I'm going to spend a couple of extra days in KY.
