I have one - my grandmother had surgery on Thursday of last week to remove some blood clots in her leg. The surgery itself went well, but she got an infection, and is still in the hospital on IV. DH and I are going to visit her this coming weekend, but I'm having a hard time being patient until then. Plus, of course, I'm worried about her. She doesn't deal well with hospitals, and my grandfather doesn't do so well without her.

Praise - As of today, I only have 9 more days of working part-time, and then I get to start my full-time job!  I'm SO excited.  Praise  God that this opportunity came in the same town where FI works.  God has a plan for each of us, and it takes time to work it out, and my patience has worn thin at times, but I'm so glad that I allowed God to show me the way and didn't just push ahead on my own apart from Him.

Prayer - That I can continue to fulfill my part-time job responsibilities and switch over to the full-time job in a way that keeps me stress-free and patient.  Stress makes my body have all sorts of physical reactions and I've done everything I can to de-stress knowing that the next 2 weeks aren't going to be easy.

FSIL's divorce will be final today.  They were married for 12 years and have a 7yo son.  She has fallen away from her faith since they got married (according to FI) and is still hanging on to spiritual mysticism, asking her pastor father and conservative evangelical siblings and mother for "good thoughts and positive energy from whichever power you love."  We're praying that, somehow, this will bring her back to Christ and not push her farther away.

One of my student's grandfather passed away last night, so prayers for the D family.

Also, my 10-year-old cousin C has had trouble with his ears all his life and now has an infection and will need another surgery (I think this is number 6 or 7) to put tubes in again to correct the problem. He is in a lot of pain.

Hey everyone! FI has his 4th interview for a youth pastor position March 15th. Prayers please that he would get the position & that I would get a nursing position in the same town (6 hours from our hometown). Praying for all of you!

prayer - i've had the flu since Friday and i'm itching to get back to normal activity!

My MOH's sister has had a rough life (lots of ups and downs with being a drug baby and having had drug problems herself), and last week her mom posted on facebook asking for prayers. her (the sister) husband just went back to jail because she called the police on him after he got drunk and violent (they have two little kids). when their pastor saw him, it seemed as though he genuinely wanted help, while she was resisting it. please please keep them in your prayers, they've had a lot of rough times and prayers for their kids as well. thanks all!

my job.  i'm a relatively new U.S. federal employee, and if you haven't been following the news it looks like an unpaid government shut down and massive layoffs if they don't pass a budget by March 4.  obviously there have been layoffs because there are laid off employees picketing by all the gates.  FI and i live off my income alone right now, so losing my job would be devastating.

<div>Oh my goodness!  I hadn't followed too much national news lately and I'm SO sory that you have to deal with the possibility of losing your job.  State employees (especially teachers without career status or tenure) have that worry pretty much every year, so I know a bit of your pain since I've been taking interviews for jobs or changing jobs every summer since 2007.  Ugh.  At least this summer, I *hopefully* won't have to re-interview or start looking for a new job.  My new job starts in Monday-week (March 7) and they have told me that this is my job from here until I don't want it anymore, which is refreshing in a way. </div>

I found out today that my cousin's girlfriend is pregnant.  They are devastated.  They were sexually active, then decided it was not the right thing to do, talked to their pastor and got set up with accountability partners, etc. and 3 weeks later found out she was pregnant.  They are juniors in high school and very much not prepared for this.  I have no idea what their plan is.  Please pray for guidance for them, as well as for self-forgiveness.  It sounds like they're being very hard on themselves.
