Honeymooning week of Thanksgiving?

Is anyone here honeymooning week of Thanksgiving? We plan on going this week, and I was just wondering if anyone has already booked for this week or not, or if it is better to wait and see if the prices drop? Thanks!

We are going the week after thanksgiving. The week of is a HUGE travel week, so even if you get a great hotel deal, your flights will most likely be expensive!
We are actually waiting about 2 weeks to go on our trip b/c of money and the amount we saved

We are going on our honeymoon the week of Thanksgiving.  We booked early enough in advance to receive an early booking discount with the hotel and booked the flight far enough in advance that it's a decent price.  We are going to an adult only all inclusive in Mexcio as we thought that will be a quiet option where you would not have any familys vacationing over the holiday week.

Yes! we booked our honeymoon to leave the Monday after our wedding - on November 17. I see it as a few 'free days' of time off from work, plus a good time to travel as most people will be with their families in the states. We're going to Thailand!!!

Hi there,
Our trip is 10 days long returning the day before Thanksgiving. For whatever reason, the plane tix were not any more expensive than they would be other times of the year. Maybe we just lucked out.

We're traveling that week. We have 2 children, so luckily they will be out of school that week and we get some free days off of work. We're going to Costa Rica, so I'm not worried about too many families traveling with us.  Oh yes and we booked on a deal at all inclusive resort in Guanacaste, Costa Rica.

Yes our Honeymoon is also the week of Thanksgiving and we actually just booked about a week ago. We are leaving Monday the 19th and coming back the 26th for St. Lucia Hurray November 17th Brides!!!

Yep. Wedding is November 3rd, but I'm a teacher, so Thanksgiving was the only time I could really take for my honeymoon. My students accomplish nothing when I'm not there. -_- 

I'm a little sad about it, because Thanksgiving is a huge deal for my family and FI's. This is the first one we'll miss since we've been together, and the first one I'll miss with my family ever. We haven't exactly told them yet...

Our wedding is Sat 11/17 and we'll be in P*nta Cana Monday-Sunday after.  I work in a school, so this week was great for me since I will only miss 2 days or work.  I don't think the flights were any more than other times of the year.

We are. But we aren't flying, just driving. (We live in IN and we're going to TN.) We're leaving the day after our wedding day, which is November 19th.  I did notice a pretty significant increase in the amount it costs to rent a cabin for the night but we're doing it anyway. I am a little sad that we're going to be missing Thanksgiving dinner with our families though!

Our wedding date is November 17th! We are flying down or driving down to Las Vegas and staying for 4 days and then heading back home to have Thanksgiving with our family since we have 3 kids and my mom will be up from Texas!

Exciting to see so many Nov. 17 Brides!! That is my date as well!!!! We have not booked our honeymoon yet, but we do plan on going that week of Thanksgiving. We work for the school system so it will be great. I can not decide where we want to go.

Thanksgiving week covers part of our honeymoon. We're waiting to book. We don't think it makes much difference when we book, we're just waiting to decide where to go. We're going to the Mediterranean, though.
