Hair and Makeup

I'm looking for someone to do hair and makeup for me and possibly for any of my bridesmaids if they want it.  Ideally, I'd like someone to come to me so I am not running across town all morning the day of the wedding.

Any good suggestions??

    I went with Pacific Artistry (recommended on TK and by my DOC) ... I originally was just looking for makeup artists, but the price difference for hair wasn't substantial.  I think there are now 11 of us getting our hair and/or makeup done, and they're coming to us.

    So, I'm not getting married 'til next summer, but I have tons of questions. One of which is whether or not I will do my own hair and make-up or have someone do it. What's the going rate for such services?

    It's expensive.  Pacific Artistry is probably the most reasonable I saw.  $250 for bridal hair & makeup and that included mother of the bride too I believe.  Then it is ~$60 for bridesmaid hair & makeup.

    Salon Maison which is one of the most highly recommended I saw on the TK (see the pegged Vendor Recommendation message at the top of the posts), is a little more expensive, but sounds worth it.  $350 for bridal hair & makeup and $120 for bridesmaid hair & makeup.  Both of those include a bridal trial for your H&M.

    Other reco's I've seen come up lately is Makeup by Erica and I Love Blush.  I think both are the same as Salon Maison.

    I used Pacific Artistry and Shanelle was AMAZING!!! I want to hire her for every moment I leave the house!!

    I hired Pacific Artistry because Shanelle is fantastic at running business as well.  She is very responsive and I thought the prices were very reasonable.  I think a makeup trial is absolutely necessary so I excluded companies that didn't include it.  I decided against SM because it didn't have any good examples of makeup for various skin tones.  My bridal party and I are like a small United Nations so it was important to me to see examples of work on a wide range of women which SM didn't offer.
