It should be nice and quiet.

I am meeting up with HS girlfriends and their kids at a kid joint.  It will be weird because I'm child free, but another friend is also child free so we will have fun regardless.  Then H is going to be on his ride-along most of Saturday, which means I can clean my DVR out of Big Ang, Hollywood Ex-wives and other random crap that I love.  Oh, and eating of the foods that H doesn't care for...so basically a HUGE salad with goat cheese or somethign weird like that.

O, you know I'm loving all of those shows too. I tell myself I'm only watching so much trash tv for the summer, but I know it's not true.

Today is Batman and cleaning. Tomorrow is cleaning. Then on Sunday I have an interview with the paper in my hometown - I'm person of the week! - and Vespers, and cleaning, and then my parents and one of my bros are flying in that night. 

So I'll be away next week, hitting up all the touristy spots. We even got into the Mint, which is a feat.

There's a big festival at one of the parks here tomorrow, but the music is all on the rooftop garden.  I predict blazing hot, so we might bow out of that.

I'm getting a haircut which is so badly needed.

Some more canning.  I'm becoming disgruntled with this process, but live and learn, I guess.

I just got home from taking my mom to her colonoscopy.  That was an experience.  Talking to mom in recovery was like playing Mad Libs. 

Now I'm working for the rest of the day.  I'm not sure what we're doing tonight.

Tomorrow, DH works and then we trade-off the kids and I'm going to a going away party for a co-worker.

Sunday, I'm hoping we can just relax.  I bet DH wants to get stuff done around the house.  Housework is lame.

I have a big honking cold in the middle of freaking summer, so it looks like I'll be staying in.

I am flying home tonight and depending on what's going on with my mom and when I get in, I may go stop by and see her. Tomorrow DH is taking lunch over to a bunch of colleagues who are taking their CFP exam, and I'll probably work on house chores. Sunday I'm planning on spending the day with my mom and taking care of her for a bit, then I have a Pampered Chef party to go to.

It's H and I's anniversary (dating, not wedding) on Saturday so we're going to see Cirque du Soleil. It's also going to be unbearably hot this weekend so I'm going to crank up the AC and avoid the outdoors like the plague.
