FB "acquaintance" is a gun shop owner. Posts about certain people in the government taking away our rights...if they're elected or whatever. I basically said..."if he has a crystal ball, I'd like to ask more questions". A la...you cannot predict the future, only use your right to vote.
He then preached to the choir about people "taking away rights" a little a time...etc. I voiced that I agreed with him, but that if we spent our lives worrying about things that MIGHT happen, we'd miss out on our current lives.
He agreed with me...or patronized, but with a good enough tone that I didn't mind. Then some chick I don't know from adam says:
"Oface you are so smart. No one will take your guns....relax and think about that we have a congress and senate that don't let anything happen anyway."
My response:
Oh boy, no worries. I have my guns in several cases, safes and all. Like I said, he's preaching to the choir, and I use my vote smartly...to support my rights as a gun owner. Condescension doesn't suit anyone well.
