My dad is on school committee & had a re-election fundraiser the other night where he introduced me to a co-worker.  Dude is in his late 30s, married, 3 kids, & is an insurance analyst.  His first name?  Bright.

I've heard of it as a last name (rare), but never a first.

I feel like it's better than Precious. (As in, the drive-thru lady at McDonalds one morning.)

It's spelled Bright, but maybe it is a family name.  He's a very tall & skinny white dude; well over 6'6".

Maybe. The people with the last name Bright that I know are white also.

God.  That sounds like Coren.  Well I know a kid named Bee Bop.  I've just gotten used to the name, so it's seeming less you-neek.

I've had a kid at the school where I work named Brighton... maybe it was a shortened version... hopefully?
