Wedding Woes

Oh cruel fate!

I have always longed to live in a town with a Dunkin' Donuts.  They aren't very common in my area of the Midwest.   So I was delighted to see the headline that my little itty bitty town is set to get one...until I saw the address and did a double take.  Yep, four houses down.  Not four miles, not four blocks, four houses down where there are two houses that were recently rezoned as business.  I was hoping for a nice, quiet little hair salon or florist shop - not a 24 hour fast food restaurant.  I wonder if I will ever get a free bonus donut amongst all of the trash that will be thrown and blown into my yard.

I guess at least donuts and coffee smell better than a McDonalds??

    That sounds awesome, not cruel.

I would become housebound obese in a hot minute if DD went in 4 houses down from me.

Mmmm...Double chocolate glazed donuts for breakfast every morning.  I also love, love, love their plain donuts.

Oh poo, stop complaining.  I don't have a DD near me either...the closest is about 100 miles away.

    That's not cool.

It is cool that DH got a bag of DD coffee for donating blood.

We don't have one near us either.  Is their coffee really that good? I bought a bag from the grocery store and I wasn't impressed.

ETA - Zsa, that is kind of sucky, but at least it is in walking distance!

I love DD. The one near us pulls their bagels just before they are fully cooked so most times they are still warm and chewy inside. /drool.

I can't say about their coffee but don't order the sweet tea. Nasty stuff that was, and it is hard to mess up sweet tea.

I love their coffee.  I don't know too much about the rest of the menu.

If this were the kind of town that turned down drive-throughs, I wouldn't mind so much.  But I know this is going to cause crazy traffic.  I hope it will be safe for my motorized scooter (you know, in a month when my calves are too fat to allow me to walk there anymore).

My arteries would slam shut within a month of a Dunkin Donuts moving in a few doors down from me.

I am not a big fan of DD. Then again, I'm not much of a doughnut person.

I do like their coolatas and their bagels though.

Don't lie. You know exactly how many fresh-squeezed babies go into those donuts.
