Wedding Woes

Copying?

I found out my younger cousin and I both booked the same ceremony venue and reception venue in weddings that are a week apart.  She booked first but I did not know of her plans when I booked.  I think that there may be one or two more items (namely save the date and the cake) that may have some similar design elements.  The reception venue has a rustic “up north” feel that lends itself to tree and out-doors imagery.  What my fiancé and I planned really meshes well with us and our personalities.  What should we do?

Re: Copying?

  • You have no choice but to destroy your cousins wedding.

Or...you can be a grown up about it.  Make the best of it.  There are two different couples getting married and therefore two very different weddings.  It will be fine.

It's probably going to look like every other wedding there too, if what you say is true.

Just go with the flow.  Most weddings are fairly similar, no matter what you think right now, you're will probably not be that different.
  • Unless you do something crazy and weird that we'd post pictures here and make fun of, your wedding will look like a wedding, like everyone else's.  Don't sweat it.
