My neighbor's house is vacant because she is sick and living with her daughter out of state. Her lawn is maintained by a lawn service. When she lived there, they came every week, quickly took care of her lawn, then left. Ever since she moved they seem to come way more frequently, often for only a few minutes at a time. Today I have seen their truck come and go three times already. Sometimes they come and leave one of their mowers on her carport for the day and then come back and get it later. It is weird.
At first I wondered if they were using her as an ATM, mowing her yard twice a week during a drought when she wasn't around to know that her grass wasn't growing. But now it seems more like they just come over and work on her lawn when they are between other jobs or something? I don't know.
How do lawn services typically bill? By the hour or do you sign a contract for them to take care of your yard weekly rain or shine?
