Wedding Woes

Oklahoma Marriage License

I am getting married in 9 days! Yay!
However, I am having a hard time finding out exactly what to do about a  marriage license.
What are you supposed to bring
Do you have to send it back to the county clerk office
And when do you get it back

Does anybody know??

Seriously? Call the clerks office and ask them.

Ask the county clerk or ask your local board.  In Ohio you went together to the clerks office, filled out a form, then had to pay in cash.

i could tell you what we did in PA, but that wouldn't help you - go to your local, call the clerk, or check the internet (state website)

First of all Congrats on the Wedding!!!

But one word of advice..if you have wedding stresses and troubles..this board isn't where you should go to..because all you'll get back are bitchy ass responses from catty bitches on pms...24/7...you would think these women would talk about actual ""wedding WOES"..but sadly they only complain complain complain..sounds like catty bitches to me...board should be renamed to Catty Wedding Bitches...lol..and i'm sure people will be posting nonstop about my reply..lol...so silly these bitches...there's a board named "chit chat" for these bitches to talk about anything and everything..guess they can't read..not suprised...

about the license problem..I would go check online and see the requirements needed because i'm sure different states have different rules on that...talk to your local clerk..hope this helps..

Candi, ignore her.  She's a troll.  If she hated us so much she would not be on this board.

Wow.... Really people?... haha.... Okay well I have called the county clerk's office where I live but they couldn't give me a straight up answer and they are hard to get ahold of because they have terrible hours. If they were open on Saturdays I'd be happy camper. I've already taken off enough work... not to mention all this rediculous name change stuff

On the bright side you don't have a time limit on when you have to change your name by.

Okay I had already googled it and I haven't really found an answer to my question... I figured out what to bring with me... but I still don't know what to do with the license after the wedding. Believe me, I've been googling it and asking my friends before I came here

You mean your copy? In my state the minister takes the signed marriage license to the courthouse of the county where you were married and files it. Then you receive a copy of your marriage license in the mail, I believe. Or did you mean framing it, etc?
