I was just looking through pictures of other weddings and noticed none of them had their MOH in a color different then the BMds.  Is that not "done" anymore?  When I was my sisters MOH she had me in a darker color of the same dress.

The plan for us is to have my MOH in a dark blue and my BMd in a lighter blue, whatever style looks best on them, doesn't have to be the same, and both long.  Shoes will be matching.  All helpers i.e. sisters and nieces as well as the MOB will be in shades of blue as well but styles won't match (some will be in lflowy pants and others in various lengths.

I guess my question is will it look really odd to have the MOH and BMd in the 2 differnt shades of blue?

do whatever color combo you like for yourself...my moh was in a different color dress..bm's were gold with red trim, moh had red with gold trim.

I don't think it will look odd if the MOH and BM are in different shades of blue.  They will both have bouquets, right?  And probably similar types of jewelry.  So they will OBVIOUSLY be your WP.

I think it's more popular currently to have everyone in the same color dresses, but plenty of people have their BMs in different shades, and sometimes different colors.  I think a lot of girls do something to differentiate between their MOHs and BMs, it could be a different hairpiece, jewelry, bouquet, or something different with the dress.

Thanks ladies!  It was just so strange to see all the pics and no difference in colors.  I think all our bouquets will be similar, mine will have the main difference, but since we are doing assorted types of flowers, not all one or two kinds, there will be some variation in regards to what they like.  The base of all however will be a hydrangea bloom.

And you have reminded me I need to find necklaces for them.
