my friend works in a high school.  apparently, campaigning for homecoming queen is an actual thing.

there is a poster with a picture of a baby on it, and it says "vote for mommy!"  it hangs right by the health offices.

    I was shocked when I got to college and saw people campaigning for this as though it were a real office of some sort.  There's a girl running this year on the platform of bringing more awareness to autism.  She has a platform.  For homecoming queen.

    I've suggested debates, but the idea doesn't seem to be catching on just yet.
