What type of pens...

should I use for our photo album guest book? (The pages, I imagine, are going to be kinda glossy.)

should I use for our photo mat?

TIA! (Yes, I want both. I am kinda crazy)

You're funny!  I kind of want both too...

Anyway, I think I'd use the fine tip sharpies.  Anything else will smear on those glossy pages.  I suppose for the mat you could use any pen that has "archival" ink - ink that won't yellow or fade.

Test out the Sharpie Pen on the pages.  It is similar to regular sharpies but it doesn't bleed through.  I love the Sharpie pen. :)

We're going with fine tip sharpies.  I read reviews of the photobook guestbooks and most said these pens work with the paper in them without smudging.

We use the fine tip sharpies on our testing stickers at work (they are glossy) and they don't smear unless you are intentionally trying to rub it off.

    We are doing both! :)
My friend did the fine point sharpies on her photo mat, but she did silver & gold sharpies. It was pretty. I think we will just do black sharpie for the photo mat. But I'm worried that the sharpie will bleed through on the gb pages....? I will have to do a test also.

I don't have any suggestions to help.  I saw the subject of this post and had to do a double take, I thought there was an "i" in pens..... lol

FWIW, i also had two types of guestbooks...a photobook, and a traditional chinese signing cloth..and about half the people signed the cloth (the chinese guests), and half signed the book (the non-chinese guests)...and about 3 people signed both..so just be prepared that it might not be as full as you'd like it to be!

....i used thick marker style sharpies..
