So, who are your friends?

You guys are my interwebz friends.  I think about you, care about what's happening, worry when it's time, pray for if you ask for it and when you don't.  You aren't, however, my *real friends.  Which is not to say that I don't have some friends here that I'd want to consider as *real.  People don't move from my peripheral friend list to my real friend list without some significant passage of time and trust.  I'm friendly with most everyone, I'm friends with relatively few.  What about you?

Re: So, who are your friends?

  • Ditto, everything you said.  Friendly with all, but few *real friends are in my inner circle.

  • Likewise on the interweb friend thing.  I also have two friends I met through work, and one I met on Mr. Kuus's college deck hockey team.

  • You guys are my interweb friends. My Mom, H and BFF are my friends. People from graduate school are B team friends and then there are some of my coworkers here that I am friendly with. I need more friends.

  • Like I said in the other post, my inner circle changes every 3-4 years based on where I am and what I'm doing. I'm at another transition point now because of the impending move. I have about 5 friends that I know I'll keep contact with, and if/when I move back here we'll pick up right where we left off. Another 5ish will probably move down to second tier, but we'll keep in touch periodically. I also have a very close knit family, so another 5-10 cousins and siblings will always be part of my core social group. Interestingly, by nature of the interwebz, my contact level with you guys won't change a bit. Something about that is odd for me.
