Hey aren't you popular today!I was going through old posts the other day and revisited the post re: Blu Ray vs. DVDs.You don't need to spend the $ to upgrade your TV to a 1080p. The only people who really use a 1080p effectively are gamers and people who love movies and buy BluRay. And to get a 1080, you're usually talking about a minimum of $1200 for a 30-32".You can stick with a 720p just fine. You can usually find a very good deal, off-brand for a 720. My father just bought a 47" 720p for $750 @ BB, LG brand. The same size in a 1080 is usually going to be $2000+.Also, DH and I had a conversation about that and both agreed that the next "move" in movie rentals is to streaming rentals, rather than more DVDs/Blu Rays/brick and mortar stores. There are rumors that Amazon is trying to buy Netflix, which will add close to 40K streamable movies to the Netflix stable.
