Future Mrs Butterworth

My whole life I've wanted to change my name from my father's last name to my mother's last name. She raised me, plus, she's got a super awesome last name. The main reason I didn't do it was because a) the hassle and b) I think it would tear my dad apart. This is a stupid reason, IMO

I always thought I would be super stoked to change my name because it was my dad's and he didn't raise us. But when it came time to change it, I didn't even think of him, but my mom and sisters who I shared that name with. I was sad to change, intead of elated as I had hoped.

Honestly, I probably won't go through the hassle of getting it changed to Butterworth for FI. He doesn't really care. I'll let people call me Mrs. Butterworth, but go through and change all my loan, bank, ssn, tax, payroll... everything information? blech. For me I have no *real* connection to my brothers. As it is we don't *all* have the same last name.
