To my thin haired sistren...

I pose a question. What products do you use in your hair for styling? As CE pointed out, I can't use wax/pomade to make the ends edgy and peicey - it just makes the ends look wet/greasy.Now that I have a shorter length I am trying out all my products from the recesses of my hair shelf. I do have products; I just haven't used them in forever. I am finding most of them don't work for me.This one, on the other hand, has been good:http://www.aveda.com/templates/products2/spp.tmpl?ngextredir=1&CATEGORY_ID=CATEGORY10538&PRODUCT_ID=PROD5827What do you guys recommend?

My hair isn't especially thin, but the texture is babyfine, like people with thin hair have.  I'm a fan of styling creams, especially texturizing ones.  Jheri Redding makes one that smells like coconut and isn't tested on animals.  I got it at Sally's.

I have fine hair. When I wear it curly/wavy I use Garnier Fructis Mousse, David Babaii Beach Spray and Garnier Fructis Spray Gel. I put them all in my hair when it's soaking wet, and then blow dry to about 70% dry with a diffuser, air drying the last bit of it so it looks natural. When I wear it straight, I wash with Matrix Sleek Look shampoo and conditioner, and then use the Sleek Look Light styling cream from roots to ends and then blowdry, plus follow up with a flat iron.

    1. Root Boost. Right now I have the one from Regis (it was freeeee). You put a little fluff at your crown and blowdry. It just gives a little volume up there. 2. Paul Mitchell Super Skinny. Put on right after towel drying. Halps with stringy flyaways, makes your hair smell like apples and keeps it shiny. 3. After flat ironing I use Fekkai Glossing cream very lightly on the ends. Makes them smooth and shiny, prevents split ends. If I wear my hair up i'll use hairspray, aresol, usually the super cheap kind because my husband steals it and uses it. If you don't have a theiving husband, try Kenra hairspray. Smells awesome, holds awesome without being sticky and gross. I'm pretty low maintence, really. I try to put as little product in my hair as possible (especially stay away from pomade, gel and mousse and don't put glossing creams any farther up than 2 inches from the end of hair.) so that it doesn't look stringy greasy heavy or gross by the end of the day.

I just use a volumizing spray (from Pantene), and occasionally mousse. Both applied when hair is wet and blow dried into place. The volumizing spray is especially good when I've just had a haircut, because it helps the layers all plump up, and I look like I have hair. I also use a huge round brush, and have been known to take advantage of hot rollers. And I always blow-dry upside down.

Also, maybe avoid washing your hair every day. That might help.

Ew. If I don't wash my hair, it just gets lank and greasy looking. Thin, fine hair needs washing.

I don't wash everyday and can't use round brush to save my life. Hot rollers: I am considering them.
