banquet permit

I have tried looking at the Liquor Control Board website, but I am not finding the answer to this.  I was wondering if someone would know the answer from experience, since I don't want to be wrong and not be able to serve alcohol at the reception.  We need to get a banquet permit for the reception per our venue contract.  Is there a specific window that you need to purchase a banquet permit, sort of like the marriage license has?  I am seeing two weeks is the latest time (at least that is my understanding), but is there a limit to how early you can get it?

    Good question!
I get them for work all the time, always the week of. Call the liquor store, they'd know!

Are you talking about the banquet permit that is JUST for booze?
Because, yeah I'm pretty sure it's two weeks.. maybe a month? It's been a while since we did it.. It has to be relatively new. All you do is walk into one of the liquor stores and ask for the paper to fill out, pay tend bucks and that's that. It's really easy.
    Here is more information:
