I had a meeting with our venue this morning to confirm our menu selections and room arrangements.  The meeting went well except when the lady says to me so have you made a decision about the rehearsal change I haven't heard back from you yet.  I was like umm no and had no idea what she was talking about.  She told me that someone else in the office called and said they had left me a message that we have to reschedule the rehearsal.  The person who supposedly left me a message no longer works there.

I scheduled my rehearsal in like January for Thursday night even though I'm getting married on a Saturday because the country club does not allow rehearsals on Friday night because they have a dinner for members.  I was bugged at first but then thought it would be better because Friday wouldn't be such a hectic day.  Now they booked a wedding for Thursday night and I have to have my rehearsal either Thursday or Friday before 2:30.  I am really annoyed.  This is the third issue we have had. with our venue  Now I have to call my officiate and DOC and see if they are available either of those days and let my gigantic wedding party know it has been moved to another day and time. 

Am I being stupid or would you guys be annoyed by this?

I'd be pissed. You should defiantly make it known that what they did is not OK. I don't know how big of a stink I'd make before the wedding but defiantly after you could talk to them and let them know that you're going to review them and xyz happened, this is what you think and if they want to make up for it they can refund you a portion or what not. They're not only inconveniencing you but also your attendants, DOC, officiate and anyone else who would need to be there.

Wow that's terrible and I would totally be upset by this as well.  Most of my wedding party, if not all, would not be able to make a day time rehearsal anyway because of work. I'm not sure if you scheduled a rehearsal dinner already but we booked ours and put a deposit down for the dinner as well. It would be incredibly difficult for me to move that. GL. You're totally justified in being upset in my opinion.

I wouldn't be annoyed.  Ask if you can do it Wednesday evening?  Rehearsals aren't always the night before a wedding, I've heard of them being as far away from the wedding day as a week before.

I would be upset- but maybe not to extreme that robot is. 

It is irritating, because a- who schedules a wedding for thursday, and b- they should have attempted to contact you again earlier since you did not get back to them.  I would maybe hassle for something free on the rehearsal if they are charging you for it.

I'd be annoyed too!  I would see if you can do it on Wednesday if possible and if not I would ask for some kind of compensation for the trouble this will cause you!

It is annoying, but it happens often.  Our rehearsal has to be at 2 pm on Friday for it to work and we are OOT.  A venue isn't going to give up the opportunity to host (and profit from) a wedding on a Thursday for a rehearsal.

I would be annoyed too. Our venue won't even give us the rehearsal time until 30 days before, so in case they can book another wedding I guess. Annoying because I have everyone asking me what time and FMIL is trying to book the rehearsal dinner and everything too!

I'd be annoyed too. I'd actually be REALLY annoyed if I was invited to that Thursday wedding...what is that?

I would definitely ask about a Wednesday rehersal and read through your contract.  We talked to a handful of venues that said that if we had the ceremony there we weren't guaranteed a rehersal day/time until 30 days before in case they book something else, if yours has it in there you might be SOL.  That was a huge issue for us because most of our WP is OOT and it would be pointless to pay for a rehersal that noone could come to.  I would definitely ask for something in return for the hassel.
