hugz? Can I haz hugz?  :)

ok fine.. that's difficult via internet.. />_<

    1. For our Bm's and parents, should we actually WRAP their gifts? I'm not quite sure? The BM gifts are in the blue tiffany boxes with the little white ribbon so I feel like that's good enough? The guys are getting booze, so I'm thinking just gift bags? thoughts and opinions?

    2. We are doing manzonite branches with the hanging votice candles. adorable. I love it. and we are putting abotu 7 on each. Fi wan'ts something more, but I thought it would be fine because I didn't want to "girly" it up... but he WANTS it girlied up.. wtf?! anyway.. lol.. Should I get the real touch flowers and hot glue those suckers? or do crystals? crystals get pricey.. but I don't want the floewrs to LOOK cheap and fake.. I'm not a fan of fakeys.. :/ Thoughts/opinions?

thanks ladies... I know I utilize you guys a LOT.. Everyone is just so helpful :)

    1)  I think the the Tiffany boxes by themselves are fine for the girls, and simple gift bags for the guys' booze should be great.  Saving a few bucks and not buying extra gift wrapping materials is the way to go!

    2)  I would choose the crystals, but I am definitely someone who prefers bling to flowers (real or faux).  Would making the branches glittery be an option?  That could be cheaper than crystals, but still sparkly.

sparkly WOULD be an option, but not one I would like to consider.. Lol.. My office room is wedding-crapped out enough.. adding glitter everywhere sounds like a litlte more than FI can handle ;)

I don't knwo how to do crystals without making them look cheesy and an obvious"diy" style ya know?

Then I would really just leave it plain, no flowers/crystals/glitter/whatever.  You're getting married in the Fall, imo you don't need the extra stuff for the Fall Season.

There is a few websites with tissue paper flowers that are beautiful. You know they aren't real, but they don't look like cheap plastic flowers and you could probably wrap the stems around the branches for a more organic look. Martha Stewart has some on her DIY cake decorations from a website called thegreencase.com. She also has a DIY paper posie thing up on her website on marthastewartweddings.com/summer2011. If you don't find anything, I'm sure that going without would be just fine. Good Luck!!!
Oh and sometimes you can find old chandalier crystals on ebay or something and you could just hang those from branches.

    http://www.save-on-crafts.com/icedbranches.html for an iced effect.

    http://www.ehow.com/how_8071331_cheap-diy-centerpieces-manzanita-branches.html <- Glittery

http://www.etherealdecor.com/projects.html <- this has a lot of good pics... didn't read the article.

However I think it would look fine the way you have it now.

Well I will buy the crystals and hanging votives from you after your wedding! I'm doing manzanita branches as well and I haven't figured out what to do with them. I want to do crystals but like you said it's expensive. But if I bought them from you it'd be like us splitting the cost! Just an idea. Also, you could maybe just get a few fake crystal thing like the bags they sell through oriental trader and sprikle them on a round mirror that your branches could sit on. The mirror would make it seem like you have more. You can also usually find bags of fake crystal type things on ebay for cheap if you bid at the right time.

I think the branches will be fine with the candles, but if you want to do something else, for glitter you could buy the glitter spray paint and just take the branches to your local park and spray them on the grass.

Another option is to mix the flowers and crystals if you can't decide between them, or all crystals would be too expensive... They also sell real preserved and the wooden shacing flowers on save-on-crafts.com (http://www.save-on-crafts.com/preserved.html) that look pretty cool.
