Venues so far

I haven't updated my Ceremony & Reception Venues Map in a while, and since things are kind of quiet now might be a good time to add to it. Answer as many of these as you can/want to.
  • Where are you getting married?
  • Where is the reception?
  • How many guests are you inviting?
  • What's the maximum seating that each venue will allow?
  • How much is the rental for each venue?
  • Does your reception have an exclusive caterer or a small group of "preferred" caterers? If so what's the average per/person cost counting everything?
  • Do your venues have vendor lock-in with anyone else? (florists, photographers, etc).
  • f you're getting married at a church, does the church have space for a reception, even if you're not using it? Do they allow alcohol? Beer & wine only or liquor too?

I'll just answer for reception since my ceremony is a city park.
    • Where is the reception? Sunset Hill Community Association Facility
    • How many guests are you inviting? 105
    • What's the maximum seating that each venue will allow? 150 for upper hall, 75 for lower
    • How much is the rental for each venue? You can rent by half day or whole day, one hall or both halls
    • Does your reception have an exclusive caterer or a small group of "preferred" caterers? If so what's the average per/person cost counting everything? Nope!! They have small kitchens in both halls, you just need your banquet permit. No requirements for bartenders to serve, just have your appropriate city license.
    • Do your venues have vendor lock-in with anyone else? (florists, photographers, etc). Nope!

Only important thing to note is that this is in a residential community so all parking is street. They do have strict noise limitations on amplified music to not bother the neighbors, not allowed to hang around outside (other than smoking) but no games on the lawn, etc.

Where are you getting married? we had our ceremony at mccaw hall Where is the reception? salty's on alki How many guests are you inviting? i really don't know the exact number, since we grouped the international invites as "&family". we didn't assume any would come, but we were extending an invite to any and every one of our international family members. domestically, we had about 300..including international, we had about 450 What's the maximum seating that each venue will allow? ceremony - depends on which room you choose...we chose the kresheilmer promenade lobby, which could seat about 220...all rooms were between 100-220....unless you chose the auditorium, which was 6,500...i think. reception-i think 220 was max max max. How much is the rental for each venue? ceremony- depended on which lobby you chose, between 1300 and 6500....(i'm remember 6500 for both, so one of them has to be wrong..........), the lobby i used was 2300. reception- depended on which day, which season..but there's no fee, just a food minimum. ours was about 12 or 14000...somewhere around there. Does your reception have an exclusive caterer or a small group of "preferred" caterers? If so what's the average per/person cost counting everything? our reception was a restaurant, so they are the only caterers! including service, alcohol, apps, main course (we had GOOD ones...lamb/lobster, etc), it came out to just over $100/pp) Do your venues have vendor lock-in with anyone else? (florists, photographers, etc). no  f you're getting married at a church, does the church have space for a reception, even if you're not using it? Do they allow alcohol? Beer & wine only or liquor too? we didn't have our ceremony at the church, but we had the option of having a seperate room for receptions...you would just pay the additional rental fee for the room (another 1 or 2k or so), and then they had an exclusive caterer. yes, they allow alcohol, but it was all provided by them.

    Where are you getting married?
    Woodmark Hotel

    Where is the reception?
    Woodmark Hotel

How many guests are you inviting?
    100-110

What's the maximum seating that each venue will allow?
    200

How much is the rental for each venue?
About 3000 for both ceremony and reception, includes chairs, tables, linens, flatware, servingware, dishware etc... from 6-11PM (or the afternoon time slot of 11-4). You're allowed 2 hours to set up prior to the event.
Peak summer food and beverage minimums are fairly high.

Does your reception have an exclusive caterer or a small group of "preferred" caterers? If so what's the average per/person cost counting everything?
Exclusive catering to the hotel. The minimum per/person cost of catering in the summer is about 75-120/person.

Do your venues have vendor lock-in with anyone else? (florists, photographers, etc).
They have a preferred vendor list, but you can explore outside of that list as long as you get it certified by the venue.

      Canyon Lakes Golf Course
    • Where is the reception?
      Same
    • How many guests are you inviting?
I think we invited somewhere around 150 and had at least that many show up.
    • What's the maximum seating that each venue will allow?
      200
    • How much is the rental for each venue?
Ooh. I think it was $2000 with $1500 towards food.
    • Does your reception have an exclusive caterer or a small group of "preferred" caterers? They had a cafe/small restaurant that did all the catering. If so what's the average per/person cost counting everything?
Don't hate me. $17/pp for a buffet with 2 entrees and that included drinks. Overall, including beer and wine we spent about $4600 on our entire venue/catering and approximately 8k on the whole thing.
    • Do your venues have vendor lock-in with anyone else? (florists, photographers, etc). No.
    • f you're getting married at a church, does the church have space for a reception, even if you're not using it? Do they allow alcohol? Beer & wine only or liquor too? The church I was most interested in did, but with the weather and being 2 days after Christmas, we ended up just having our ceremony at the golf course with a reception set up.

Where are you getting married? Twin Willow Gardens www.twinwillowgardens.com

Where is the reception? Same location

How many guests are you inviting? Invite count is at 118 of which we know 8 won't make it for sure.

What's the maximum seating that each venue will allow? 200

How much is the rental for each venue? Depends on day.  Current rates are $2300-3000.  Tables and chairs are included in costs.

Does your reception have an exclusive caterer or a small group of "preferred" caterers? If so what's the average per/person cost counting everything? Small group of preferred caterers.  Our caterer's Avg cost PP for catering is $20-22, but ours is a bit more due to our add-ons.  That includes service staff, china, glasses, and silverware.

Do your venues have vendor lock-in with anyone else? (florists, photographers, etc). None as I know.

If you're getting married at a church, does the church have space for a reception, even if you're not using it? Do they allow alcohol? Beer & wine only or liquor too? N/A since we aren't getting married at a church.  Our venue allows liquor but only 1 signature drink on top of wine and beer.

I'm a little late getting in on this but:

Where are you getting married? Novelty Hill/Januik Winery in WoodinvilleWhere is the reception? SameHow many guests are you inviting? We only had 21 guestsWhat's the maximum seating that each venue will allow? For what we did the room limit was 24, but I think if you rent the whole winery it is 125 or 150How much is the rental for each venue?  For the room we rented during the day (while winery was open) it was $500, but if we had done an evening and rented the full winery I think it was $5000 for the facility.  That said, we had our ceremony in the barrel room, cocktail hour on the deck & lunch in the cellar room (the actual room we rented).  Does your reception have an exclusive caterer or a small group of "preferred" caterers? If so what's the average per/person cost counting everything?  Onsite catering only, which was fine because the food was fab.!  I think all food & wine came to about $125/person.  Cake okay from anywhere.Do your venues have vendor lock-in with anyone else? (florists, photographers, etc).  Nope, but we did use the florist they use for their tasting room/event flower needs.  (Fena Flowers - they were great to work with, especially given the budget we had set aside for flowers).f you're getting married at a church, does the church have space for a reception, even if you're not using it? N/A Do they allow alcohol? Beer & wine only or liquor too?  All the wine came from the winery (of course) and we could bring in beer & champagne of our choice w/banquet permit.
