From TLC's Masters of Reception.Joe'l My guess is her parents wanted to be youneek when name their daughter after pops. "Josephine" or "Joelle" just wouldn't do.

SIL has been working with Joe'l on her upcoming wedding. I snorted when I first saw her name spelled out.
