Lotion Recommendations

It puts the lotion on it's skin! Anyways, my skin has gotten ridiculously dry over the last few weeks. It's disgusting and even my nipples are dry and flaky. It's also really itchy and over the last few nights, I've actually scratched my legs so bad in my sleep that I have open scrapes on them. I need something thick, moisturizing, and calming that isn't greasy. I had some Eucerin but that was greasy. Same with the Vaseline Intensive Care. I'm using some all-natural Jergens stuff right now and I put it one twice a day. I like it, but I don't think it's doing enough.

Re: Lotion Recommendations

  • Lubriderm? I don't have grease issues (like, I can't tell if it's greasy, because my skin is always thirsty), but it does seem to sink in quickly. I use a Suave intensive for my face, too - that seems pretty good, and it's cheap.

  • I like the I Love Carrots line.  They have a body balm or lotion in a jar.  Whatever you call it.

  • I adore this:http://www.bathandbodyworks.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2258467Super thick and not greasy. I also used to have pregnant women and baby mamas come in and tell me it did wonders for their stretch marks...

  • I'm a fan of straight up Palmer's cocoa butter lotion.

I usually find The Body Shop's body butters to be crazy greasy, but I guess my super-dry pregnancy skin doesn't think so.  I was too cheap to buy any this time around, but I am still considering getting some.I probably wouldn't put it on the bottoms of my feet and then walk without socks, but generally speaking, it moisturizes well and soaks in pretty quickly.I also liked the body scrubs for exfoliating the dry skin (also used it on my belly, which felt so awesome).

  • When my skin is dry I use something with vitamin E in it. Usually Johnson & Johnson for sensitive skin, because it's perfume free. Also - drink more water.
  • FMB, I drink about 3-4 liters of water a day. I physically can't put anymore into me without peeing every 5 minutes. I think I'm going to try the BBB stuff. I had some Origins body butter stuff that I loved but I can't seem to find it anymore.
  • Oh yeah, the facialist I visited said she loved the J&J best.
