Wedding Woes

S/o buffets

One time I was at a Golden Trough type place (against my will) and I saw a woman take 10 fried chicken breasts.  She ate the skin off the chicken breasts and threw the meat away.

Once upon a time, in a buffet place, I put what I thought was ranch dressing on my salad.I took a bite and determined it to be blue-cheese.  No biggieI took another bite and determined it to be ranch that had gone bad...I couldn't eat creamy dressings for years.

Wow. And *urk* This reminds me of "Honey, We're Killing Our Kids". There was this family of heavyweights; they ate absolute crap. The nutritionist asked the daughter, maybe 5 years old, what her favorite part of the chicken was. She said, "The skin." I died a little inside.

At 5, I probably would have said skin also.  The difference was that I knew that a meal of nothing but fried chicken skin was gross.

Eeeww.  They always took us to buffet places like Ryan's or OCB for marching band competitions because they could easily serve 100+ kids quickly.  Hated.every.single.minute.I won't even eat at Chinese food buffets.  GROSS.  Chinese food places always give you more than you need for one meal anyway- no need to shove 3 meals worth of food in your mouth in one sitting.

My niece, as long as she's been alive, will only eat at the salad bar and the  bar in a buffet place. I've seen her walk back with an ice cream cone in one hand and a banana pepper in the other.
