Pictogram Table Number Cards

So I saw these, they were on TK, and I fell in love with them!! I asked the knottie where she found them, and she said that it was a DIY project some bride did. And that I would have to search the internet and bookstores to get ideas. GRRRR! I want them! They would so fit FI and I! Here are some pics....

Aren't they adorable!!? That way your guests would have an icebreaker, if they don't know each other, by trying to guess the phrase.
I'm a total puzzle nerd so when I saw these I flipped.

Now how to figure out how to make them. Sara? Alyssa? Any ideas you mighty DIYer's??

you might be able to just do a google search and find puzzles and print them on cute paper or something like that

You can easily make those yourself. Just figure out some phrases and then start hunting for clipart. That said, I can't figure out what those ones are :D They are called rebus puzzles, hth!

You can TOTALLY make them yourself. i agree with pp, google, find ones you like, and then use powerpoint to put them together. I think they are the cutest idea! let me know if you need more help once you get the puzzles. :)

I googled rebus puzzles and the ones that popped up were the ones where it's a phrase like  Herring which means Red Herring. But I like the ones with pics with the + and - things =.
I like the idea KST of making my own phrases and then finding clip art. I may have to find the clip art first and then figure phrases from them.
But the other rebus's can be fun as well.
Sara, I'll let you know if I need more help with them! Mainly what kind of paper should I use? I found cards at Michaels that were meant for like invites, but they're thicker card stock. I thought those might work to print these on. They had a nice thin border around them. Would those work?

Brandy - those should work just fine. If they are individual, try buying just one and testing to make sure it goes through your printer.

What kind of phrases do you want to do? I'm thinking either wedding related or specific to you and your FI's life together.

omg those are so freaking cute. I want to totally steal that idea :) I would just figure out the word/phrase for each table then come up with what pictures you win need for the puzzle. It you pick simple clipart like they did for the most part it will be easy to find free clipart for it. Any cardstock would look perfect.. I would start making these by making each a rough draft with paper and a pencil. If you need help with one we can help but also get fi involved on this one. Before starting on the computer I would have one or two people read them to make sure they can figure it out. I did these once and a crossword from scratch for a baby shower and 2 out of 13 couldnt be figured out and half the crossword were to hard. LOL Great idea. Also I have photoshop if you need help with a clip art you have to have but is too busy or has a backround or something. Good Luck!!!

Thanks guys! I'm gonna play around with them and I may ask for phrases. Kst, I'm going to do some wedding related ones, I figured that would be fitting and then yeah, some that relate to FI and I.
Alyssa, you should totally do them if you like them! I would love to see how yours ended up!
