The short version is that the visitation mess has been sent to mediation in two weeks.  From what H was told, the ex-wife has to show up in person (she no longer lives locally).The detailed version is worse for her.  She ignored a subpoena to appear for this hearing, even though her lawyer told her that she needed to show up.  Apparently she thought her lawyer should be able to cover everything without her.  The judge wasn't amused and if she doesn't show for mediation, he'll decide everything.

H still hasn't heard from SD and the court didn't order that contact be resumed.  That was disappointing.I just want this process to be settled as quickly as it can, because it's gone on for too long already.

Once you think it can't possibly take any.longer, it does. The system is clogged, messed up, and gnerally sucks for everyone who bothers to show up.

I'm sure it will get worse and more aggravating than it is now.  I'd hate to think what form that aggravation would take, but I'm sure it will happen.At least there will be a brief break from the lawyers.  Mediation is strictly no lawyer.
