RSVP rant

Our groomsmen are idiots. I love them all dearly but right now I want to smack them. So far, one out of four have actually RSVPed for the wedding. FI spoke with one of them today and asked him to RSVP (he has kids that we aren't sure if they are coming). GM told him that he thought he had RSVPed by putting the deposit on the tux. Seriously?! It took FI minutes of going back and forth with GM about who was coming and it went from him. To him and his wife. Then him and his wife and their two daughters.

Friday is our RSVP deadline and we are still 34 groups. Send in the damn cards people!!!

I feel your pain. Our GM are married so I followed up with the wives. I knew the guys wouldn't do it.

Soooo annoying. If it makes you feel better my bff whose son is our Ring Bearer she is walking down the aisle with him, holding the rings my flowers, etc never sent her RSVP. I had to call ask to get her guests name find out if her family was coming to both the wedding reception.

I feel you pain, our RSVP deadline is this Friday.  We have about 75% of our RSVP's back.  I must ask why you are asking people prior to the deadline?  They are adults, they have until Friday to let you know.  A few days after that you should begin contacting them.

I know. The majority of our WP haven't sent back a RSVP. Granted our deadline isn't until July 1st, but still. Haha!

It came up in conversation with the GM. FI had to call him about another issue and it somehow came up. It wasn't like I was hunting him down.

I totally feel you!  I've yet to hear from one of FI's GM for RSVPs and we've been on people about booking hotels and today (after one hotel expired yesterday) got one BM and one GM (separate parties but the same non-RSVP GM) asking for hotel information.  I'm sorry but shouldn't the wedding party have had this done months ago especially because I stressed the expiration to them all???

Oh and the greatest thing about the problem GM, he told FI that he thought we were taking care of getting him from MI to PA and that we were putting him up in a hotel and making sure he got everywhere....He's the biggest moron I have ever met.  How is that my responsibility?

Two of FI's GM have asked, "dude, do I  have to send back that card or can I just tell you I'm coming?"  FI assured them that "the little lady would like all responses mailed just to keep it organized."  I love him!

My cousin, also a GM has rsvp-ed as well as the other GMs with gf, fi, or wife.  lol.
