FHI or CHI?

I've decided to straighten my hair (need a change) & in my research for the best flat iron, I keep running across these two brand names.So, opinions, suggestions, recommendations post them here.TYIA

Go to Folica.com.  They have awesome reviews.  I've heard the GHD is the best, but it's also one of the most pricey.

I wish I could tell you. I've never been talented in that area, and have to pay. When I do it myself, it just never looks right.

Ask your stylist or use what she/he uses (if you want to blow major bucks). I had a chi knock off that I loved. It cost about $100 and lasted until I fried it in Europe. I've nver found another that I liked better. That being said, my hair =/= your hair.

DD has a CHI knockoff that works wonders on her hair, but not on mine. My hair is thicker, coarser aka nappier than hers, so I need a pro iron.

Also, you might want to use some sort of heat protecting product (if you don't already have one). I got GHD (I think) spray from Ulta. It is a *little* heavy for me. Or maybe I am using too much???

I use a Maxiglide. The teeth on one side make all the difference in the world on my hair. Regular irons just make it fuzzy.

I love my CHI.  ~$100 and lasts for freaking ever.  I have been eyeing an instyler though.

Mmhmm, I love it. I've had it for almost 3 years now. It's a little pricey, but it's worth it.

oh man, I watched a maxiglide infomercial once and had to restrain myself not to purchase it. They have them at Bed Bath and Beyond now, though, so you could even use your 20% off coupon.

CHI makes Iron Guard 44 (I think?) and I don't think it's too heavy.  And it has a pleasant smell.  I got it at Ulta.
