1) Why is MIL already at my house? 2) Why is she answering my phone? (I called to check messages)3) Even worse- Dh and I decided to get 6let a little basketball hoop for Christmas.  MIL told me she ran into sMIL at the store this morning.  sMIL and MIL had each bought a hoop already.  Great.  Now we have to come up with something else.

Your MIL is a piece of work. Why have you guys not told her not to answer your phone already?And, FWIW, we aren't getting gifts for either kid for Xmas. At this point, they won't know whether we got them a gold-plated training potty or a lump of coal, so they are getting college fund contributions.  They have a ton of toys and clothes, so it's not like they're suffering, you know?

Neither of us say anything because we don't want the confrontation.  As for the gifts.  6let loves to open things and we thought he'd really enjoy this.  He loves the one at daycare and well, he won't be going there anymore.  His college fund is significant- thank you FIL.
