Rehearsal Dinner Location in Seattle

I am at a loss!  I spoke with my FILs asking for a budget for the rehearsal dinner since they so graciously offered to cover it.  The response was, "Something along the lines of Olive Garden."  Luckily, my FI is an italian food snob and won't go with Olive Garden.  Plus, there's no Olive Garden in downtown Seattle.

I'm wide open for suggestions!  Somewhere that is inexpensive (along the lines of Olive Garden prices Wink), in or around downtown Seattle, and preferably has a separated room or section to fit 30-35 people.

I had originally told them that we were doing pizza (Tutta Bella), but they nixed that most likely assuming that I was suggesting Pizza Hut or something of that sort.  I may have to go back to that and explain it better.

We really wanted Piatti's in the University Village.  It's charming and the budget was reasonable.  We just had more than 40 people (their capacity).

Our rehearsal dinner will be at Steelhead Diner near the Pike Place Market.  Great party room and good food for the price.

I'd probably revisit Tutta Bella. :-) I've been told they are so yummy!

Otherwise, just remind them that there isn't an Olive Garden, so perhaps they could clarify where they might have in mind to give you some better ideas?

Tutta Bella sounds great, but if you're looking for additional suggestions, I'll throw out my RD vendor:  Organic Table, they're a catering company that is linked to the Portage Bay Cafes in Seattle, there are locations in South Lake Union, Ballard and the U-District.  Here is their site:  http://www.organictablecatering.com/Organic_Table/Seattle_Catering_%26_Events_-_The_Organic_Table.html

Organic Table is really flexible with the menu and it's all-inclusive, which is nice imo.

You could see if Via Tribulani will host it for you. I love their Georgetown location! They have great "fancy" pizza, good wine, and beautiful atmosphere. Otherwise I would say look at Bucca di Bepo since I know they have rooms avail, I just don't know the quality of food.

I think Buca Di Beppo food is pretty dang good and it's family style which makes the atmosphere more fun (but also more casual).  The decor is a little strange, but overdone in a way that makes it (sort of) charming.

I was a BM in a wedding that had their RD at the Old Spaghetti Factory.  It suited the couple well, and they had a nice sized (separate) room for the group.  Though Old Spaghetti Factory is very casual IMO.  Just depends what you're going for.

See, I didn't really like Buca at all when we went. We went with family for a birthday, and it was okay, just not as good as I was hoping. But I'd say to go for lunch some day, that way you can see if it's to your liking or not.

You may also want to consider some of the restaurant choices in Bellevue, as this would give you lots more options, and it's just across the water.
